Date of stay 18-08-2023 to 25-08-2023 This is an excellent barn conversion into a cosy 1 bedroomed cottage for two people.
The fixtures and fittings are of a high quality, and everything you could need is supplied. Lovely thick bath towels are supplied, so there is no need to bring your own. The shower is perfect and large with good water pressure and stable temperature. The bedroom is compact, but there is a double bed, a good-sized chest of drawers and a hanging rail with 8 coat hangers, and a bedside table on either side of the bed. There is very little space between the bottom of the bed and the wall, we are not large people so not a problem for us. The bed was very comfy. Don't worry if you forget your teabags, coffee, sugar, washing up liquid, J-cloth etc... there is some supplied to get you started. Other cleaning products and equipment also supplied. The owner had left milk and biscuits for our arrival very much appreciated thank you. This cottage is in a good position for visiting lots of the local heritage sites and beaches. We need to go back to continue with our adventures in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

Robin's Nest is well equipped, clean and comfortable.
It was cold during our stay, but the central heating kept us cosy and there was everything we needed to cook meals in plus information about local pubs, restaurants and shops if we wanted to eat out. Lots of walks, bike rides and tourist information included. One of the walks Alan suggested in the dry valleys of the Wolds was the highlight of our stay and we were blessed with glorious sunshine in November. We did have a bit of difficulty finding Robin's Nest when we arrived, but Alan also said he had asked Sykes to clarify the directions on the listing, but this had not happened. If you approach from Leven it is the first entrance on the RHS after a slight LH bend with a fiingerpost and a layby on the LHS. You don't actually go as far as the first signs for Brandesburton and if you get to the Blue Rose Country Park you have missed it.

We had a lovely break at The Hayloft.
The property was immaculate and provided every little home comfort you could ask for. The beds were comfortable and the property has been fitted out to a very high standard. The owners were very welcoming and friendly and although we didnât need to I would have felt very happy asking for anything we needed. The welcome basket was a fantastic touch and was filled with yummy bread and cakes. Local apple juice which was amazing. There was milk and water in the fridge which meant we didnât have to run straight out to buy essentials. We would definitely recommend this property. Lots to do and see around here. Being on a farm with horses and a gorgeous cat was the icing on the cake. Thank you

The Hayloft at Husthwaite exceeded all our expectations - it's beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable, has everything you could possibly need and then some!
The owners were so friendly and welcoming and we were thrilled with the gorgeous flowers and hamper on our arrival - such a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. We loved staying in a quiet, rural location but within driving distance of the places we wanted to visit (York, Whitby and Fountains Abbey). There is so much to do nearby, we need to stay again!!! The Hayloft was a fantastic find and we hope to book again soon. We have also recommended it to friends and family, it was so good! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Fantastic week at The Hayloft.
Everything you could possibly need has been thought of, from the welcome basket that included a bottle of lovely Husthwaite apple juice to the soft bath sheets supplied (a pet hate being towels that are too small!) I had a great week and of course there is so much to do in the area. It was great to see and hear the horses around the property. The one and only (unavoidable) issue was the iffy weather during the week I stayed, but the cottage was so nice that I didnât mind staying in some of the time. Thank you.
