April Cottage in Whitby is a well-received holiday rental, praised for its brilliant location, high-quality fittings, and cosy atmosphere. Guests appreciate the property's warmth, cleanliness, and the thoughtful use of space, making it ideal for couples and their pets. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the quick response to problems and the overall charm of the cottage contribute to guests' eagerness to return.
The majority of guests found the cottage to be spotlessly clean and tidy, contributing to a pleasant stay. There was, however, a single mention of cobwebs and a dirty rug, which slightly impacts the overall cleanliness score.
Guests consistently laud the cottage's excellent location, central to both the beach and town centre, with easy parking and a peaceful atmosphere despite its proximity to local amenities.
The cottage is frequently described as cosy and comfortable, with a particularly comfy bedroom and heated flooring. Some guests, however, expressed a preference for a harder bed and noted the high placement of the TV as a discomfort.
Reviews highlight the cottage's well-thought-out layout and modern facilities. Criticisms include the lack of a microwave, issues with a shower door and sink plug, and a request for additional bathroom fixtures. The swift resolution of a radiator issue demonstrates good maintenance support.
While the reviews reflect a high level of satisfaction with the property's amenities and the responsive service, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would fall under the category of thoughtfulness. Therefore, this score is set to null.

It is ideal for couples wanting to relax and enjoy what the town has on offer. The property is very cosy and warm, too warm when cooking as there is not much ventilation downstairs. The shower is powerful and the bed is comfortable, if you prefer a softer mattress. The extra bedroom is ideal for reading and using as a dressing room. Overall, it is a lovely place to stay, and it would be nice to know some of the history of the cottage or of Cliff Street if there is anything interesting or any old photographs of the cottage.

Parking easy with permit provided. Cottage great little place, had everything we needed. Just 1 small thing please lower the TV... you can't watch TV as too high and hurts your neck. Needs to be lowered down to eye height. Otherwise great and we loved our stay and would recommend again
