"The cottage is fitted out to an extremely high standard. It is in a very quiet rural location ideal for getting away from it all and just chilling out. The cottage is very warm and the shower is the best one I have ever had the pleasure to use. There is a wood burning fire in the living room which adds character and acts as a focal point but is not essential for warmth. There is an adequate WiFi connection despite the rural location and a large TV with the digital terrestrial channels. The only small issue is that the cottage is very close to the owners own house but that wasn't particularly a problem as the owners kept themselves very much to themselves after the initial greeting. The kitchen is modern and well equipped and self catering is very easy. I would recommend this cottage to anyone seeking a bit of peace and quiet and particularly to anyone with a dog as it is pet friendly and there are plenty of local lanes to walk on. Take wood for the fire as it burns well and enjoy the rural atmosphere."

"We had a wonderful stay at The Horseshoes, Emma is a lovely host and had left us a hamper of goodies on arrival and pint of milk in the fridge, this was very appreciated. There was also tea, coffee and sugar in canisters and enough dishwasher tablets for the week, as well as soap and a few toilet rolls. The house is beautifully decorated and well maintained and was perfect for myself and my family. There was an information booklet with instructions for all appliances and some take away menus and leaflets of local attractions which we found helpful. We enjoyed walking round the mere and through Hornsea town centre down to the promenade and beach. We particularly enjoyed visiting Mr Moos Ice Cream Parlour, Bridlington Birds of Prey and Animal Park, Bugtopia and Bondville Model Village and recommend those places to anyone staying at The Horseshoes whether you have children or not.We truly had a lovely stay and made some lovely memories with our children."

"Whilst there was nothing really wrong with Seaside Retreat there are some things which could be improved. The biggest concern for us was the lack of a handrail opposite the bannister on the stairs, which we found quite steep. The upstairs floor was very creaky and the carpet in the lounge seemed rather grubby and needs a good clean. The single bedroom contains a bed and nothing else, a small cabinet or cupboard would have been nice. There was no dvd player which we found unusual as most holiday rentals have them these days. The plug sockets in the lounge are in an odd place (we had to buy an extension so we could charge our laptops etc). There were also no instructions regarding which bin was which. On a positive note, apart from the carpet the house was spotlessly clean, a nice welcome pack and toiletries were left for us, and the wifi worked well. The area is nice and quiet and a short drive from the centre of Bridlington."

"Friendly and informed reception from Jane, End Cottage owner, who lives opposite. As a family of four (including a tween and teen), we found the cottage clean, spacious, comfortable and of a modern spec whilst retaining it's own character. We particularly enjoyed morning coffee in the sun room overlooking a perfectly formed garden full of interest and wild birds. The private terrace served us well during the evenings for games and a barbeque. The rural location is beautiful and strong road connections led us to explore both East & North Yorkshire with ease. Tibthorpe itself has few amenities for self catering tourists, but near by market town of Driffield (15 mins drive) provided independent shops and a national supermarket within easy reach. We enjoyed our stay immensely."

"On first appearance, as shown in the photographs, the interior had the WOW factor but soon realised the furnishings were not as comfortable as expected. Problems still existed with the oven (seal not fitted so loss of heat) and hob (slow) which the owner promised to deal with but too late for us. Décor slightly dated in some areas which require modernising/redecorating, although the owner may have plans to do as she has with the apartment upstairs (Crystal Cove). Biggest appeal of the apartment is the location, absolutely superb, overlooking the safe and expansive beach with the added bonus of being dog friendly. Despite the negatives thoroughly enjoyed our stay due mainly to location and half decent weather."
