Touted as one of the most beautiful villages within the Yorkshire Dales, West Burton is small and what it’s lacking in loud attractions, is made up for in a friendly community, fresh air and unspoilt views. The Walden Beck burbles past the village and don’t miss the beautiful West Burton Cauldron Falls. Visitors have the whole of the Yorkshire Dales at their feet, and it’s a National Park well worth exploring; either on foot or by bike. After a day out in the fresh air, there is a tea room and pub in the village to offer refreshments.

What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In West Burton To Rent.
Ann - verified booking
"Stayed here for a long weekend with my sister-in-law & her dog. We wanted to get away from it all catch up & just chill & here it was perfect. Our hosts Karen & her daughter Kate were really accommodating (they let us check in earlier than planned) and there was tea making facilities & homemade cake waiting for us on arrival. They took time to show us around the property & where everything was & said they would be happy to show us around the farm (a working beef farm) if we liked.Although we were only a party of 2 & a dog, it was really spacious (even if there had been 4 of us we would have been fine). It was great that both bedrooms were en-suite with showers - really practical. The lounge/kitchen/diner was also large & well equipped, but we were told just to ask if there was anything else we needed. Although we were quite happy we would have felt quite comfortable asking as Karen & Kate were very approachable & friendly. We would definitely come back & bring more of our family with us."

"Only little niggle is that we would have preferred to be able to turn the heating off as I dont have heating in the bedrooms and this made sleeping difficult. Lovely welcome from Neil the owner but again, as I am so fussy, at the end of a long journey I just like to get into the bathroom and then sit and be still for a while, I cant take in information when Im tired so although he was extremely helpful, I just wanted to be left to it, using a key safe or something. However most people are not like me and would like to be met so I do understand that. The cottage is well located for a great pub down the road, and various places across the whole area to visit such as the coast, the wolds, Lincoln, Hull etc. Great stay"
Mr Barry Rowbotham, Dewsbury, West Yorkshire - verified booking
"This property was ideal. We had a fantastic week long break with all the benefits of isolation and yet just 10 minutes from the centre of Lincoln. The standard was of the highest class and it was furnished well beyond our expectations. I would and already have recommended this property to friends and family and I hope that we will return again next year ourselves. The owner made us so welcome and could not do enough for us, she was always available if needed but never intrusive. I cannot rate this property highly enough, I would only say to any clients looking for a break in this area, then try Roe Deer House, I do not think you will get better quality anywhere. Thanks for a great break."
- Mrs Chambers, November 2018 - verified booking
".. most appreciated on a cold November Evening Alison had got us a welcome pack of goodies in the kitchen, bread, eggs, cakes and a bottle off sparkly stuff! They advised us on places to eat and drink! We adventured down to the “local” The Black Horse” (2 mins walk). Quiet on our arrival but friendly bar maid We soon got chatting to the “locals” who were very friendly and welcoming Lots to do within short driving distance but as were were only staying a couple of nights decided to stay in curled up in front of the log burner with the papers purchased fro the village shop, a game or two of dominoes we found in the Tv draw and of course watched Tv. A perfect Lazy weekend."

"I live next door at No 2 and my daughter and her husband stayed at for the week at No 3. Bimble Cottage was everything we knew it to be - very good. However receiving an email a day, and sometimes even two a day, for the last six months from Sykes, pushing the idea of well deserved short breaks is boring and tiresome. It might pay to take notice of silence. Also, had I not needed to rent Bimble Cottage I would have instantly pulled the plug, there and then, on my booking after seeing your incredulous reaction when I declined your offer of travel insurance. We are not all idiots and some may even already hold insurance."
