"Hi, We had a lovely holiday at Wakonda spoilt only by the weather which was not good for most of week - the bungalow was beautifully clean and very well fitted out - comfortable beds - good quality kitchen equipment - attractive comfortable lounge with all facilities and patio area with seating and umbrella for shadeThere was a nice train station nearby for easy access to St Ives a beautiful place to visit - Hayle has superb beach and lots of other interesting places to visit - we even ventured to the Eden project which was a brill day out - not cheap but such a lot to see and enjoy and very warm too. Close to the bungalow is a nice bay and some nice walks - advise backing car or cars onto the drive as when a car is parked at the bottom it is difficult to get out .We experienced no problems during our stay and was glad of such a comfy property well equipped to come back to and relax after sightseeing. The price we paid is more or less the same as other properties on offer in the area and for the superb quality of the fixtures and fittings it was a very good choice and reasonably close to beaches and supermarkets etc The garden is lovely but does have steps - there is an alternative ramp for wheelchair users - negotiable but slightly hillyoverall we would stay here again - just would hope for the sun to shine more but that was British weather as usual and no fault of the owners or their lovely property"

"We had a lovely time at The Cottage. Our family ranged from 3-89yrs and everyone was very impressed with the facilities. A few minor quibbles. Difficult to find. The instructions state look out for Treganna Castle sign on the right, but it is on the left. Cottage difficult to spot from the road unless one remembers the picture. There is a sign, but it is hard to read, the bushes are overgrown and the entrance is on a blind corner. There is parking for 4-5 cars, best if you reverse in - but will need someone to stop traffic on this blind corner. Situated very conveniently only a short walk from town and beaches, but steep hills and very little pavement meant it was difficult for elders and small children. The accommodation was ideal. Linen and bedding clean and ample. The showers took some getting used to but lots of hot water for the baths. One of the upstairs toilets did not flush very well.Kitchen well appointed with everything we needed and more. We could not find a Visitors Book. It was fascinating to hear about the history of the house - perhaps it could be put into the Visitors Book along with instructions re bins, housekeeping and emergency contact information. The owner is restoring the building along Arts and Crafts lines, and I look forward to seeing it when it is completed."

"After freezing for the first two days (February) because heating was set far to low. it wasn't obvious how to change this to start with since the thermostat is hidden high on a chimneybreast in one of the living rooms. We had a disabled man and an Autistic 3 year old with us, so heating was important, but once set, warmth throughout was good.Generally, the house is about 30 - 35 years behind the times in terms of décor, but saying that it did feel homely in places. My wife burnt herself in one of the shower rooms quite badly as the dated heating system was very difficult to set. It seems to have two settings, freezing & scolding! The safe option is to use the bath. Some rooms are damp and the smell of dampness is obvious throughout. Parking is tight with a max of three cars, and access and departure needs great care. It was good to see Wi-Fi and modern TV's though only one was watchable due to poor reception. If I seem negative it's only because I'm personally well travelled, and know what to expect, but for convenience and the job at hand (a family gathering from all over the UK to celebrate a 70th Birthday) it did the job well, and on those grounds we'd use again if we needed space and bedrooms. "If you want plenty of space and a location that is close and in easy walking distance of St Ives harbour, then this is the place to book. It will easily accommodate two or three families, or you can enjoy lots of space to yourself. All of the bedrooms are of a good size and most of the twin rooms have some kind of en-suite facility. There is plenty of living area spread over three rooms, each with it own television. There is also a very large dining room with a huge table and plenty of cooking facilities in the kitchen. There is a utility area with washing machine and dishwasher. What we really liked is that there is a very private living area off the kitchen that comprises two bedrooms and a large bathroom with a good sized walk in shower area. The cottage is very well equipped, and comes with everything we needed. We really enjoyed staying in the cottage and used it to entertain members of our family that live in Cornwall. The owners were very helpful and also give a discount if you visit their café in St Ives. All in all we were very impressed and really enjoyed our stay in the cottage. We would highly recommend this cottage."

"It's a beautiful house in a perfect location. We loved the sitting room. Plenty of cutlery and kitchen equipment.Outdoor furniture was filthy and therefore we couldn't sit out, this didn't particularly bother us as we were at the beach most days. The Bbq is rusty and unusable. I feel it shouldn't be advertised as having outdoor furniture and bbq if they are both unusable. The bathrooms hadn't been cleaned properly so i had to rush around cleaning them all before the rest of our party arrived. They should pay a proper cleaner, I would have paid extra for it.The beds are extremely creaky and wake you up throughout the night. The mattresses and pillows looked brand new though. It's really tricky to decide whether I'd stay here again because the house itself is fantastic and we as a family had a great time. I would love to go back again if it was to be cleaned well, had new, comfy beds and some of the bathrooms upgraded a bit."
