    Staithes Holiday Cottages

In the past, Staithes was one of the largest fishing ports in the whole of the North East and Yorkshire but now it's a favourite holiday destination for friends, families and couples. What's more, it's the perfect place to explore the North York Moors, the coast and cliff top views. Even better is that local attractions Saltburn By The Sea and Runswick Bay are never too far away either.

In terms of Staithes holiday cottages, you'll be spoilt for choice. Think Grade II listed holiday homes in the village of Staithes, North Yorkshire. Or, contemporary apartments with open plan living and sea views from the bedroom. Alternatively, choose from the cottages in Staithes - located in the heart of the hustle and bustle. And that's before we mention the pet-friendly pads with ground floor access from the living room onto a garden leading to the North Yorkshire coast.

What our customers say about their holidays

    • Mrs Serginson - Verified booking

We have just had a lovely relaxing week at Daisy Cottage, we found everything to be of a high standard and extremely well thought out. The kitchen has all the appliances you need and plenty of pots and pans ect. The beds are very comfortable and good quality bedding is supplied, plenty of hanging and draw space for all your needs. The bathroom is also well appointed with a shower over the bath and also a rain shower head. As we were in Hinderwell in January and the temperatures were mostly below freezing we didn’t venture into the gardens but both back and front spaces I imagine would be very pleasant in warmer months. The facilities in the village are good with pub restaurants, shops, fish & chip shops and good bus services to surrounding areas. Would like to return in the Spring or Summer to fully appreciate the area and the cottage itself.

The cottage is well located in the old part of Staithes, very close to the harbour and local pub and shops.

It is very comfortably fitted out with all the amenities required for a pleasant, relaxing break. The kitchen is well equipped, sitting room comfortable and well furnished, although could do with having a curtain for the door window. The bathroom is very spacious with separate bath and shower cubicle. The bedrooms are good sizes too. Small negatives are the small bath towels (bath sheets would be great) and lack of wifi (the reason it didn't get top marks for facilities). Some may see this as a benefit though but with mobile phone reception being non-existent in Staithes apart from a limited area (by the harbour or at the top of the hill) it could be an issue. Otherwise a very pleasant cottage and worth another visit.

We booked this cottage to celebrate my 50th birthday. It was absolutely beautiful and very comfortable. Such a great location with fantastic walks on the doorstep to Runswick Bay in one direction and Staithes in the other. The decor was lovely and light and airy and very well equipped. An amazing shower! One of the highlights for us was the tranquil garden. Sitting outside first thing in the morning listening to and watching the birds was one of the highlights of our stay. We liked being based in a village and took full advantage of the local amenities: delicious fish and chips and local butcher for excellent quality meat.

      Situation of cottage.

Village itself. Local pub cod and lobster. walking choices. all exceptional. just a couple of minor things. Rug in lounge needs a good clean, full of sand/dust. Hoover smells of dogs when used. Very minor and did not spoil the cottage but could be addressed to get top marks on all. exceptional holiday all round. Very warm and cosy and Christmas decorations a nice touch. thank you for a wonderful stay. recommended , bus to Whitby and walk back to Staithes. Its around 12.5 miles and is stunning. recommended, fish and chips in Cod and lobster. Small size is still huge , delicious.

    • Mr Arrowsmith - Verified booking

Daisy Cottage is perfect. Situated in a lovely village with a small shop and pubs, but only one mile from a well stocked CO OP. Near the coastal path and on a bus route you don't need to use the car. When I opened the cupboard and found cling film and foil in abundance, I just knew the owners knew what they were doing. The log burner was used every night as the weather was fine but cold. Suggest logs from the CO OP as they burn better than the garage ones. Really enjoyed the stay. Runswick Bay is beautiful and a mile away!
