The cottage is in a nice location.

It is in a quiet lane. No parking on that street for this cottage? But other cottages park on the street Parking is difficult, but a permit is provided. This didn't work well for us as my mom is 80 so there was a lot of moving of the car to make sure she didn't have to walk too far. Cottage was well equipped in the kitchen. Has everything you need. Bedroom with bunk bed was good and comfortable. Main bedroom was clean but bed was very uncomfortable. You can feel slats of bed through mattress. Bathroom is small but clean. Shower didn't work well for my 6foot3 husband. He couldn't stand up straight in the shower. Floors downstairs on arrival weren't cleaned well but overall was clean. May need the rug in living room cleaning as smelt of dogs. I personally moved it so my dogs didn't wee on it to cover other smells. Garden is small but useable. Shame there was no access to shared larger garden. Harlech is quiet. Has a few shops and chemist. No general store. Has Indian, Chinese and chip shop but only open certain days. Café on main square was really nice and did really good hot chocolate. Would we stay again? Probably not as not really suitable for our needs. Information folder in cottage needs a complete overhaul. Not been updated for a great deal of time. It looks as though other users of the cottage have done updates themselves!

      As per out telephone conversation.

This is an amazing apartment that needs some care. The support for the lovely blind in the kitchen is not man enough for the weight of the blind, and we felt that we had to take the weight of the blind by holding the bottom while operating the chain. The sash windows need attention. One has a brass finger riser missing and can’t be opened. When closing another window the brass locking assembly fell off and bruised my arm. All the widows need maintenance. There needs to be an update on information. We found that the shower control outer ring controls the water flow so the bathroom floor doesn’t flood, but had to phone to find out about the pillow vibrators. Even after the tv signal connector had been remade the tv still cut out occasionally with “No Signal” message. We just left it and the signal restored on its own. Could we please have more crockery and cutlery, four of everything is not enough especially if we have a dishwasher, and in fact there were only three desert spoons. The car parking space was invaluable as we joined others watching the many and varied attempts at parking in the paid spaces. We hope to return to this lovely apartment and hope that it receives some talc in the meantime. Photos are available to back up my comments if you want them.

Fab location with views- no problems parking either and key codes worked a treat.

Interior was spacious and comfortable - kitchen area had no storage capacity for dry goods and instructions to operate the oven were hard to find ! Why include all the Bosch stuff in the folder ? Great set of kitchen knives ! Microwave was small and needs updating and not enough plug sockets. So mean only providing one toilet roll - come on guys-you need a spare ! The shower is a big issue - I’ve seen this mentioned on TA - it floods the floor which makes the area really dangerous! And the hand wash - made in Belgium - you have to be kidding ! Pop down to the shop below and pick up some “ Made in Wales” products . The Welsh cakes etc in the little Croeso bag were lovely - but , milk , tea and coffee would have been much appreciated ! I’ve always had these in previous accommodations and good to see spare dish washer capsules - but , no dish cloth ? Poor ! A few throws would have been appreciated too ! The books and games were thoughtful. , but, just feel you need to really up your game to assign the term of luxury to this accommodation ! Tried to get in touch with Sykes about issues - poor and tardy responses. Will not book through them again .

A truly lovely place to stay with a spectacular view.

It was so lovely to have throws and cushions returned after covid. A few things to attend to...the small lamp didn't work, probably just a bulb but that's so easy fir someone to check and it wasn't checked. 3 of the lights in the bathroom did not work so they need replacing. The bathroom as a result was a bit gloomy. Again this is so easy to check before we go in but it wasn't done. There were no fryingboans in the kitchen. I stayed here in June and there were 2 frying pans. I was very lucky that cleaners were in half way through my week servicing another flat so I told them and they produced 2 brand new frying pans. Hiw lucky! All these things need to be checked before the flat is occupied. The flat is self catering and at an off peak season there is a real scarcity of eating out places to go to. It would really help if an inventory of kitchen equipment was done on a regular basis. Other than these few niggles we had a marvellous week and have already booked 2 weeks for next year. However I would need to feel a bit more confident now that the flat is properly equipped.
