What our customers say about their holidays

    • Mr Herdson - Verified booking

The Cae Besi apartment we stayed in was ideal. Super location, clean, spaceous, well-equipped and with the best views of the sun setting over the sea I've ever seen in Britain. Our 6 year-old son loved the garden, with its swings and space to play hide-and-seek, as well as a pleasant outdoor table for drinks (we did plan an outdoor meal one day but unfortunately the weather didn't play ball). Harlech centre is easily walkable, as is the station and - a bit further - the beach. While parking is across the road, we never found this to be a problem. Kath was wonderful in looking after us, making sure we had what we wanted and sharing useful information while never being obtrusive: a perfect combination! We would certainly go back if holidaying again in the area, and would thoroughly recommend Cae Besi to others. Thanks!

The owners had put lots of extras into place.

Normally I take a bag of cleaning products cloths sponges, towels etc but there was absolutely no need as everything was there. The bath towels were beautifully clean, fresh and soft. The furniture and fixtures were of good quality, modern and stylish. The owners arrived very quickly when contacted to sort out the problem we had with the hob. The surrounding estate on which the property stands looks abit grim, but tbh it was quiet and the local residents we met were very chatty and friendly. There isn't alot to do in Harlech itself but it has a train station and regular bus service and a great base to explore some of the fabulous varied places within the Snowdonia national park.

Nicely finished and clean flat, pretty well equipped.

Good location with easy parking. Good area for dog walking, although not fully enclosed. TV and hob are both unnecessarily complicated and a pain to use. A previous reviewer commented that the flat was damp. I don't think it's damp, just cold. Heating defaults back to 12 degrees every few hours and you have to continually reset the thermostat. If you go out for the day then it's freezing on return. Heating should be set at a constant 19 in the daytime and put on a few days before anyone stays in cooler months. It does say in the folder that you can contact the owner to change this, but that shouldn't really be necessary. Probably a non-issue in summer though.

This property was in the perfect location for us - we were never short of things to do within a short drive of the place and this, combined with the amazing weather we had during our trip, meant we were able to pack so much in to our week there. There is the most fantastic view from the living room and the entire place was spotless, comfortable and just made for a really lovely base for us. We had a 5yo and almost 2yo with us and they loved the property too - the lack of stairs within the apartment was a big bonus for us. We would very happily return.

Driftwood is a cosy comfy cottage in a great location to explore all the lovely things to do in the area.

The beds were comfortable and both bedrooms had a TV on the wall, plenty of good hangers, in the wardrobe and plenty of space to put all your clothes away. Lovely modern bathroom with shower over the bath with bi fold glass screen so the floor stayed dry. The open plan area had everything you needed, in the kitchen a good size fridge freezer, the lounge comfy settees, and best of all was the smart TV had Netflix included. The weather was not great but we managed to sit outside on a couple of afternoons. Any problems we had were very quickly solved.
