      Our family holiday at Plas Amherst in Harlech was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning views and the welcoming ambiance of this beautiful property. The house was immaculate, spacious, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The location is ideal – just a short stroll from the breathtaking Harlech Beach, where the kids spent hours playing in the waves and sand. We also loved exploring Harlech Castle, which is steeped in history and offers incredible views of the coastline (the cafe isn’t bad either). The attention to detail in Plas Amherst is remarkable. Every room is thoughtfully decorated, making it feel like a true home away from home. The kitchen was fully stocked, allowing us to enjoy family meals together with ease. The outdoor space was perfect for evening barbecues while soaking in the picturesque sunset. We couldn’t have asked for a better holiday experience. Plas Amherst exceeded all our expectations and provided the perfect setting for unforgettable family memories.       We had the most wonderful stay at Plas Amherst over Christmas and the owners were very helpful prior to our stay answering our questions and during our stay when we had an issue.

      The house itself is very grand with big open rooms and the most amazing views (when it wasn't foggy!). It is tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and you can tell it had been recently refurbished. The kitchen was huge and spacious, the lounge had a wall mounted tv where you could log in to your own TV apps and very comfy sofas. The highlight for my 2 sons was the hot tub which we all enjoyed using during our week there, as well as the pool table in the games room. Bedrooms all had en-suites which were lovely although we did have a problem with one shower and the water temp. Someone came out as soon as I notified the owner and fixed the water temp but unfortunately the shower had a fault and couldn't be fixed. The only things that I would recommend changing/adding to enhance the property would be: - More knives in the kitchen, including a bread knife - For the 3 existing knives to be sharpened - A few more smaller cooking bowls/dishes - A sieve - Luxury soap in bathrooms not cheap soap - Plush bath sheets rather than cheap thin small bath towels. Overall though we had a fantastic family holiday and would highly recommend :)

      On arrival should have been complimentary coffee milk and tea .

      On a long journey had to go out to get basics. Hot tub jets didn't work very well and the mop for water was rubbish. Had no hot water so had to make lots of phone calls first to electrian then finally spoke to owner which he did sort out problem in the end but not needed. The filter on extractor fan in kitchen smelt like old fat also the dinning room seats had stains on them . When we striped beds last day found that none of the pillows had no sort of protector on them and they had stains, and upstairs the double duvet had blood on it which we didn't see until we striped it. We couldn't play table tennis because there was one ball and that had a split in it. I even went to a sports shop to buy some but no luck. I might be nit picking but if these things are offered everything should be in place. Also in the kitchen there is no tongs for food and the knives where so blunt I struggled cutting anythings, no big tray for pizza in any cupboard. Apart from those things we did enjoy ourselves location is really nice, just need a little more eye to detail

      We recently stayed at the beautiful Isallt and wow!

      We have visited north Wales many times and this is hands down the best place we've stayed for so many reasons! The cottage itself was very clean, tidy, lots of space, everything you could possibly need- cutlery, plates, washing up items, towels, the list goes on. Best shower ever! All the beds were very comfortable, the main bed being exceptional! Very lovely decor, nice and cosy, and love the little homely touches around! It is also situated on a working farm which was lovely, our 5 year old daughter loved seeing the animals around and the tractor! Hot tub outside was just glorious to unwind in after a busy day! There was also lots of things near by, shops, food places, Harlech castle! And a wonderful beach pretty much opposite, our daughter enjoyed collecting many shells from there, as well as me and my partner of 10years getting engaged whilst there!! Was a wonderful day with exceptional views all around! Highly recommend this property and we will be back for definite, thanks for a brilliant stay!

      The house itself and views were absolutely stunning but the interior of the house felt a little bit unfinished comfort-wise - a few extra finishing touches would have made it absolutely exceptional.

      For example, there weren’t some pieces of kitchen equipment you would usually expect, such as a pair of scissors, a bread knife or a cafetière. We also had to request a pair of oven gloves as there weren’t any there. It would have benefitted from a few more baking trays and pots and pans, particularly given the number of guests the property could potentially cater for. It would also have been helpful to have had some spare toilet rolls and dishwasher tablets available, as guests may not necessarily think to bring these on holiday! There were also a few housekeeping issues - one of the toilet seats was broken, the lights in the games room often went too dim to be able to actually play pool at night and we found a broken glass just underneath one of the couches. All in all the house is beautiful and we would still return in future, but these little additional touches would make the property outstanding and in keeping with the high-end location.
