About this property

This bright and beautifully presented three bedroomed holiday home offers a contemporary yet quirky coastal retreat in the heart of Lower Harlech, just a short flat walk from the sweeping sands of Harlech beach and the renowned Royal St David’s Golf Club. Tucked away in a quiet residential cul-de-sac, the property provides a peaceful base from which to enjoy both the coastal and the dramatic landscapes of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, situated in an area of exceptional natural beauty, featuring a combination of mountains, sandy beaches, and sandy dunes.

The house is arranged over a reverse level layout, with the ground floor hosting two thoughtfully furnished bedrooms: a stylish king-size bedroom and a single bedroom decorated to a similar high standard. The modern shower room is well appointed, providing quality towels, illuminated mirror and a shaving point. A utility area on this level houses the washing machine for added convenience.

A feature roped banister leads upstairs past a unique driftwood artwork to the open plan living area. Flooded with natural light with views to playing fields and Harlech Castle, this inviting space includes a comfortable corner sofa – ideal for unwinding after a day on the beach or exploring nearby attractions or mountain trails. A cleverly designed Smart TV sits on a folding arm allowing it to be angled perfectly for cosy viewing nights. The kitchen area has been thoughtfully arranged with oak worktops, under-counter lighting and everything needed to prepare meals, while the dining table offers a lovely setting for enjoying relaxed meals together. The third bedroom is also located on this floor.

Outside, a front patio table and chairs provide a sunny spot for breakfast, while a bench to the rear offers another peaceful setting to sit and unwind. The communal parking area offers ample off-road parking.

Harlech itself is steeped in history, dominated by its striking 13th century castle – a UNESCO World Heritage site – with panoramic views across Cardigan Bay. There is a glimpse of Harlech Castle from the windows, looking particularly imposing lit up at night. The property was warm, spotlessly clean and furnished to an excellent standard & modern style. A welcome pack of coffee, tea, milk and Welsh Cakes was much appreciated. Owners proactive to communicate and ensure a great stay for their visitors. Would happily book again when back in the area.

The owners left some tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits which we thought was a lovely touch and well needed after our journey from home. The cottage is very cosy and comfortable and we can't wait to go back next year. 5 star ++++
