What our customers say about their holidays

    • Kate - Verified booking

The point was a lovely place to stay.

Really close to St Ives beach and town (5 min walk) and with an allocated parking space which was great. The beaches in this area are amazing and there was loads to see and do. The apartment had everything we needed and was super clean and modern. The beds were comfy, although for the price, a king size would have been nice. The kids bedroom was really spacious which was good for our two teenagers and having two bathrooms was a bonus. The kitchen appliances were great too. It was a lovely relaxing place to stay and hang out. We were a bit concerned about any noise coming from the flats above, but it was minimal. It was lovely to wake up and be able to see the sea in the distance. I would say, it wasn't the most relaxing place to sit on the balcany, as it's ground floor and looking onto the parking bays, people did walk right past. However, to have an outside space with a view of the sea was great. I would definitely recommend this apartment. Thanks for a great stay

      "Thanks for your email.

We had a great holiday again in Coast and happy to give you some feedback. This was our second visit to Coast, the booking process was straightforward again and even though we are very familiar with St Ives, the meet and welcome with Hayley is still a nice touch. Coast is an exceptional, comfortable apartment, equipped to a very high standard. I even remembered to take some Nespresso pods this time for that special cup of coffee! There's also something special about looking out over a stormy St Ives bay enjoying a glass of fizz on your birthday! After a session in the spa of course. We enjoyed the walk along the coast path to Lelant, rewarded with a good lunch at Scarlets. This time we also walked along the sea front from Penzance to Mousehole. You pass the front door of the Tolcarne Inn at Newlyn, and can recommend calling in for a fine fish meal. Thanks for looking after us, hope to see you again next year." Paul and Carol

Although we have had a lovely time at the Coast we do have a few issues: 1.

Description says harbour view, you cannot see the harbour further trees! This was extremely disappointing for us az we book properties in St.Ives based on their view!! Also your description said that there is dvd player and Sony ipod doing station but neither were there! You need to update the description of the property as this is mis-selling! Also therefore chipped mugs and bowls! Lastly the cleaning, there were cobwebs in the kitchen cupboard and bits in one of the kitchen cupboards. There were cobwebs behind the curtain to the patio doors in the lounge. The cooker hood had not been cleaned and was greasy. Idon't think that the floor had been hoovered I under the beds as there was fluff under them and a toilet roll tube under one of the beds. For what we paid for the apartment I woukd have expected a better standard of cleaning and am very disappointed about the view as the view was one if the main reasons for me booking Coast.

This is our third stay at Coast in 6 years.

Although the surroundings are beautiful and the location is excellent, it feels like the flat hasn’t been updated in those 6 years at all. It is advertised as a luxury apartment which I’m afraid it definitely isn’t. We would recommend changing the mattresses as the beds are so uncomfortable. The lights under the kitchen cupboards couldn’t be used as the flashed constantly. The remote controls, the Wii remotes and balance board all had to have their batteries replaced which was very annoying. Also, the washing machine instructions in the welcome book are for a different washing machine and the actual instructions on the washing machine have been covered up. The light just stopped working in the second bedroom as well. Generally, some more attention to detail would be welcome to make this apartment worth the price.
