House was beautifully clean and was a real bonus to have off road parking in the village.
Thank you Angie for contacting us before our visit to provide additional instructions on how to find Avalon and the other handy hints. Much appreciated. Weather restricted visiting many places and we found a number of places we aimed to visit were closed. However would certainly recommend Avalon and St Agnes Would also recommend:- > if you have a car with low profile wheels that as you face the property you park to the left, and be aware that navigating the car off the property can be a little difficulte especially if the holiday cottage opposite has car/s parked. But as mentioned above the off road parking is a real bonus > Highly recommend a visit to the Petersville Inn for a meal. Excellent food & friendly service and not to be missed the Wheal Coates Mine, views were stunning. > Avoid Tingatel it was heaving, with little regard for social distancing and if you want to visit the Castle be sure to prebook well in advance. > Padstow worth a visit, but again recommend you aim to get there for about 9.30 to try and snag a parking space near the quay, again can get very busy and with the narrow streets, social distancing is difficult.

Great location in St Agnes with lots of cafes/pubs in walking distance and a lovely beach just 15 mins walk away.
Make sure to check tide times before heading down as no beach at high tide. Also a good base for visiting the many other local beaches a short drive away. Cottage was perfect for a family of 4 plus 2 dogs. It would be a squeeze for 6. Nice to have 2 bathrooms and a hosing area for dogs. Beds were extremely comfy and we all slept well. Really strong wifi and smart tv so we could log into Netflix to watch films on an eve. TV only 32 inch and would definitely benefit from a larger screen size as room could easily take it. Well stocked kitchen. Property mostly clean but table was sticky (possibly from spray) and bathroom cabinets not cleaned. Otherwise, all to acceptable standard. Note that the garden is up steep steps and is tiered. Not the best if you have a puppy who shouldnât go up/down steps yet or an elderly dog suffering mobility issues. Otherwise it is a nice suntrap with table and chairs.

The cottage was spotlessly clean and the furnishing to a very high standard.
The views from the cottage are breath taking and beautifully placed within the grounds of the Farm and easy access to St Agnes. We had a fabulous stay in Oreoâs Cottage and visiting St Agnes which has so much to offer with the beautiful beaches, walks and a with great choice of pubs to visit, a few we would recommend would be the Victory Inn and the St Agnes hotel. The beach at Trevaunance Cove and Capel Porth are definitely worth a visit. St Agnes is ideally placed for sightseeing to Lizard, Porthleven, St Ives, Carbis Bay, Padstow and a short ferry ride over to Rock, but to name a few, there are many more I am sure but we ran out of time so will definitely return and stay at Oreoâs Cottage again. Thank you to Mr and Mrs Harper who were always on hand if we needed anything or to offer any suggestions of where to visit in the area. Thank you for a wonderful stay in Oreoâs Cottage.

We have just returned from a weeks stay at Oreos cottage, we had a fantastic week, the cottage is situated in a great location for visiting St Agnes and all of the lovely beaches and villages that are all located not to far away.
St Agnes is a lovely little village that has everything you need, from deli, butchers, gift shop and plenty of places to eat if you donât fancy cooking one night. Would definitely recommend the Goan fish curry at The Tap House, and The Cornish pizza company. The cottage is a lovely place to stay and has everything you need to make your comfortable. Lovely fields for your four legged friends to stretch their legs, and a great place to come back to and relax after a days exploring. The owners David and Jackie are very welcoming and are at hand if you need them, also the milk, bottle of wine and mint chocolate was a lovely welcome gift on arrival. We would definitely recommend this cottage, for anyone who is wanting a beautiful, quite, relaxing place to stay while visiting Cornwall. We loved it so much at Oreos cottage that we have already rebooked to go again next year.

An excellent 2 week stay at Oreos cottage in Cornwall.
The cottage is close to St Agnes town centre and is a comfortable, well appointed base to explore Cornwall from. The kitchen is particularly well equiped for eating in and the main bedroom with its large, double bed and en suite shower room and toilet is comfortable and relaxing. The living/dining room is a great place to sit and relax after a days exploring and comes with Sky TV, log burner and plenty of seating with a large dining table. The cottage was warm and comfortable so much so that we didn't require the log burner or heating for the whole fortnight. There is parking next to the cottage and the owners are very personable and communicative. The area round the cottage is a great place to explore being close to Chapel Porth beach and a great view of St Agnes beacon from the back garden. A recommended spot for a Cornish holiday. We will definitely be using again.
