What our customers say about their holidays

    • Mr Ward - Verified booking

Surprisingly much more spacious on the inside than it looks on the outside. Very large Kitchen (biggest area in the house) with huge amount of storage throughout cottage. Warm and comfortable living area and sofas, attractive master bedroom with lovely en-suite. A second bedroom with two small single beds. The cottage is located within a few minutes walk of shops and 20 minutes walk from the cove. Marvelous art studio, galleries, and fantastic bakers a minute away with the best pasties in North Cornwall. The village has much history, charm and character with a few 17th century thatched cottages on the approach to the cove. There's a regular bus service into Turo, Perranporth and Newquay. Some good (and hilly) walks to Chappel Porth, The Beacon, and Trevellas Cove but the coastal path is not suitable for the infirm or wheelchair users. Some parts are challenging. Fully equipped RNLI Lifeboat near beach but careful of the water, sewage is dumped onto the beach by the water company on occasion. Most days it's OK but don't swim in the sea when the water is brown. Don't picnic on the beaches as sea gulls will swipe your food!

We've had a fantastic week at Birch House with a 2-and-a-half-year-old! The weather has been quite mixed with a couple of really blustery and rainy days so it's been the perfect house to come back to and enjoy for it's warmth, comfort and light space. We didn't realise there were sea views so that was a bonus. And our toddler was so excited to watch the cows, pigs, goats, rabbits and birds! The house is really beautifully done up and well-equipped. We've loved the upstairs for its light and space. It's very well situated so we've made the most of exploring the beaches, towns and other tourist attractions. Favourite beaches were Hollywell and Chapel Porth, the latter where I foraged for mussels and they were delicious! Thank you for sharing your fantastic home.

Pearl is a clean and well equipped cottage. It is an upside down house with the bedrooms and bathrooms downstairs. It is open plan upstairs and spacious. The only real problem for us was parking. Pearl has one small parking space next to the St Agnes Hotel. It can be difficult to park as this is on the main one way system through St Agnes. We have a Toyota Prius and it just fitted into the space. Anyone with a larger vehicle would find it very difficult to park. The cottage is located in the centre of town close to shops and a 15 -20 minute walk from Trevaunance Cove. I have Wendy who looks after the property was extremely friendly and helpful.

What a beautiful property, we have enjoyed our sunny mornings on the terrace! 5* for all of the amenities at this wonderful holiday home, we have really enjoyed the comfort, quietness and luxury. We have had wonderful visits to The Lost Gardens Of Heligan and of course The Eden Project - highly recommended. St Agnes village is so pretty, we have eaten at the Peterville Inn - very dog friendly and a lovely menu! Mevagissey harbour is well worth a visit and the beach at Godrevy is the most stunning I have seen. (National trust members - free car park). Lovely beach walks at St Ives, Hayle and Perranporth.

What a wonderful home, open planned, clean, beautiful setting, a perfect springboard for us to discover beautiful Cornwall. So grateful that we could bring our dog to your home as well, it made our stay even more perfect! We discovered Porthleven, a pretty little harbour with great seafood and Kynance cove, turquoise sea, rocks and a sandy beach. St Agnes and walking across the Wheal was a highlight, great little village, cafes, deli's and bakery. We will definitely be returning to St Agnes and this lovely house. Many thanks!
