We loved every minute of our stay at Garden Barn.

Mr & Mrs William’s were extremely helpful and friendly. We stayed over the Christmas period and the barn was decorated with lovely country Xmas decorations, a real Christmas tree and other festive ornaments. The kitchen is fully stocked for all your catering needs. The beds are very comfortable and in the smaller room there is a surprising roof hatch for storage/extra sleep space. The location is peaceful and tranquil. It has been really nice watching Mr William’s farm the sheep in the field behind the barn. There is a lake in view where herons, pheasant, ducks can be seen as well as buzzards hunting the fields. Despite it being a working farm, the noise is a minimum and does not disturb. We were more than happy with this location, the vicinity and the whole booking procedure. This is a ‘dog friendly’ cottage. There is parking for 2 cars available. The road down to the barn from the main road is a bit ‘pot holey’ but this is to be expected on a working farm. Located in the perfect place for easy access to Bridgnorth, Highley, Bewdley, Kidderminster and Wyre Forest. There is plenty of local literature available for you to browse at the cottage. We will certainly consider renting this cottage again in future if we are in the area. Thank you for such a lovely time.

      Friendly hospitable hosts.

The accommodation is on a working farm set in magnificent suroundings. We are here in lambing season; a lovely environment for peaceful holidaying with loads of walks and local attractions. The accommodation is detached, extremely comfortable with its own garden, summer house, patio and parking. The kitchen is extremely well fitted and equipped. A spacious bathroom and two excellent double bedrooms make it more than suitable for families. TV in bedroom and lounge wilth all freeview channels. Free wifi. Independent central heating and masses of hot water. A lovely woodburner. The accommodation is close to the Georgian town of Bridgnorth with its own history, especially worth visiting are the churchs, Guildhall, gardens and river. Its fernicular railway is a great experience as is the Seven Valley railway. The accommodation is within easy car travel of beautiful tourist areas including Bewdley, Much Wenlock, the Black Country museum, Ironbridge and its museums, walking in Church Stretton on the Shropshire Hills or seeing glass making in Stourbridge with its canals. There is so much to see and do and you can return to the comfortable tranquility of the cottage.

This is the worst cottage we have stayed in due to the bad smell in the house.

When we arrived there was a bad smell of a combination of damp, mould, sewer and ‘wet dog’ smell We noticed small clumps of black hair all over the carpet so I used a damp cloth and soapy water to lightly clean the carpet. I had to change the water 3 times as it was black. The bedroom carpet had clumps of hair over it too. There was mould on the wall behind the sofa that also smelt. The sofa also smelt bad too. When we used the toilet upstairs there was a very strong smell of sewerage coming up from the sink in the kitchen. We discovered the plumbing had been installed incorrectly. There were several damp spots on the bedroom ceiling that appeared after it rained too. There were slug trails all over the lounge carpet each morning too. The duvet cover smelt of ‘cheesy feet’ A man cannot stand up to use the loo due to the very low ceiling. The whole place had an air of neglect. There is no private courtyard as stated in the description as it is a communal turning area for vehicles. Despite the bad accommodation we enjoyed our holiday in Shropshire as we went out every day, all day, to get away from the cottage

Dorrington Court is a beautiful home and and was a lovely retreat for our week's stay in the glorious county of Shropshire.

The home was luxuriously appointed, very warm and welcoming. A book lovers paradise, with selections to suit all tastes. We felt so lucky to have discovered it on your web site and privileged to be able to rent it. Every possible requirement was catered for, it was indeed home from home regarding facilities, everything provided was of the highest quality, especially china and glassware, there was absolutely nothing overlooked, we could wrote at length about the many delights of this home. Dorrington is a quiet village but houses a very welcoming pub The Horseshoes, good meals and friendly hosts and the local shop is stocked with everything one could possible want from a village shop, both establishments only a few minutes walk away. Shropshire is a beautiful county and we enjoyed visiting Church Stretton, Ludlow and Cardingmill Valley. Howard, the owner was a charming host and took time and trouble to meet and greet us. A wonderful holiday, this home is highly recommended and we certainly hope to return.

The cottage is in a farm setting, with amazing views over beautiful rolling countryside.

There is a large raised balcony/patio area to one end of the cottage with a large wooden table and chairs for al fresco dining. A lovely secluded garden is accessed via the smaller of the two bedrooms and there is a wonderful garden room tucked into the sunny corner. Although I am a confessed lover of barn conversions and stone cottages, the features in the Garden Barn are lovely - open beams, log burning stove, an amazing tapestry above the stove, comfortable sofas and chairs and occassional tables for everything you need to hand. The bedrooms are well furnished, and we chose the smaller of the two for our stay - mostly because of the views over the garden. The owners provide a large basket of logs for the stove, and replenished it when we ran out! There are comprehensive food shops in the nearby village of Highley, and lovely woodlands walks all around the cottage. All in all, we had a wonderful week here.
