We appreciated this reasonably-priced, no-frills, first floor accommodation for our short stay while visiting relatives in the area.
Due to family commitments we were almost exclusively at Trevarthian Farm Annexe in the dark and/or in a hurry, but the glimpses of farmland views from the (low) windows in the mornings were lovely. We had open access to the lane outside, and there was a grassy area directly opposite the property useful for our elderly dog to 'go' on, although we did have to always accompany her (we missed advantages of an enclosed garden more than we had expected, but that's on us). I was looking forward to enjoying countryside and woodland walks through the farmland as per description but in fact due to family commitments we were not on site enough: the only time I tried was late at night and our way through the gate was barred by two large goats! For the benefit of other guests: The flat was reached by a flight of stairs but otherwise on one level. There was a dehumidifier inside the ground floor entrance (to deal with condensation I think) and a slight damp smell in the flat on arrival (which wore off over our stay) but in fact the flat was lovely and warm, spotlessly clean, with no signs of damp. The beds and sofas were comfortable, and the small kitchen well-equipped. We appreciated the cream tea ingredients, the pint of milk in the fridge, and the books and games. The owners who live in the adjoining farmhouse got a good balance between checking on us a couple of times (& answering messages sent via the app) but otherwise being unobtrusive and not hovering. If I had to suggest an improvement it would be for a slightly larger well-lit mirror in the master bedroom with a shelf or dressing table so getting ready in the morning would be easier. It would be also useful to have a direct mobile number for the owners in case of needing to reach them quickly. No complaints from our adult sons who shared the second bedroom. We were grateful to find that the owner had kindly made the zip linked double bed up as separate twins for them. We had been somewhat stressed that this request which I had had made via Sykes by phone on the day of booking (and which the call handler had confirmed by email at my request) had not got through to the owners - Liz had to contact me on the day of travel to check our preference. The written directions for reaching the farm need proofreading (the NT property is Trerice not Terrace) and improving. It might be worth warning guests about the No Entry road sign you have to pass (and ignore). Then the "first" door you reach on the lane to the farm is not the first: there's another property/building on the same side of the lane which you pass first. The door is indeed a good marker for the property from the road but it's *not* the actual entrance to the flat as described. An outside light (perhaps motion sensor) outside the farmhouse/parking area would be helpful for guests arriving and unloading in the dark and also when taking their dog outside. All in all, though, we were satisfied with our stay, pleased with our choice of property and in similar circumstances would choose it again (although possibly not with an elderly dog who gets up several times a night).

We reported a few items on our 1st day and these concerns were received professionally by the initial Sykes rep on duty, Jacqueline.
When the leaking outdoor shower stayed permanently on we reported again and turned off the mains water. The lack of recycling/glass bins was reported and we were assured it would be addressed. When the attending plumber simply isolated the shower from the mains that left us with no way of cleaning boards and wet suits outside so we had to trapse them through the house - far from ideal. Shower had not been repaired but simply but out of action! A few days later we disocvered soiled sheets in the downstairs guest room. When I phoned Sykes to update them I spoke with Anna who asked me to send pictures which I hadn't done, but simply placed sheets on a boil wash as I did not wish to disturb our holiday further by waiting for replacement sheets. All this time I believed I was giving helpful feedback to Sykes/Landlord to assist with future rentals and had at no time questioned my expectations as a paying 'customer' - that was until I was received an email from Frederick advising that the landlord was concerned about the amount of visits the plumber had made and still the issue was unresolved. The phrase used was 'very unusual' which implied we 'customer' were creating something unusual. For the cost of the property over 10 days (£7k) my expectations were to have a fully functioning premises with recycling facilities and clean linen. This was not the case and the lack of response from my last correspondence to Frederick speaks volumes - still awaiting a reply! On Day 9 of our 10 day holiday a garbage service arrived with recycling/glass/food waste bins. Additionally so did a heating specialist who also advised that the outdoor shower was infact broken as was the kitchen sink hot tap (which we had reported) and both required new parts. At that point we packed up and left, a day earlier than was planned. What was supposed to be a great family break was tainted by the fact either the landlord was given lip service by tradespeople (both cleaners and plumbers) or they/Sykes simply do not care - as a consequence we walked away from this holiday with regret.

I booked this staycation as a treat for my Daughter and my grandson.
On arrival to the property it became clear there were no laundry facilities on site to wash clothing during their stay and I was told by the owners a launderette would have to be used which was a 15 minute walk from the property and with it being a self catering property with no onsite laundry facilities this was strange. Also having to make regular trips to launder wet water gear and towels used for the beach regularly was not ideal and caused more expense as well as taking time throughout the stay which is far from ideal. There is also no way of drying wetsuits after use in the sea as no outside hanging space. Also an iron was provided in the property but no ironing board to use with it? Also with regular trips to the beach throughout the stay and no vacuum in the property to clear up sand debris off footwear was a nuisance with just the use of a dust pan and brush. You would have to ensure you have plenty of extra beach towels and clothing to last during your stay if you wish to not use a local launderette during your stay. Also no dishwasher so the facilities provided are pretty basic which does not reflect well in the rental cost per week. Fabulous location and great heating but the other factors Iâve mentioned were a huge let down and I feel it should be made known in the property details about the lack of laundry facilities onsite and cleaning facilities to keep the property tidy during a stay here. Otherwise itâs in a great location.

Just stayed here for a week.
There was a few problems on arrival: 1: there was cobwebs and spiders in the bedroom, bathroom and living kitchen area 2: ants on the floor in the kitchen area 3: the patio area was very over grown (nothing like the pictures shown) 4: there is a cat which is not mentioned in the description. (Our dog doesn't like cats) When we knocked on the door and mentioned these problems to the owner we were told the patio area is a wildlife one and the weeds are too much to maintain, there shouldn't be cobwebs as she had just spent three hours cleaning the property, the birds like eating the ants and she couldn't do much about the cat other than say he doesn't go in the patio area so wouldn't be a problem. ( The cat does go in the patio area as we found out one morning when we took out dog in luckily on a lead) The owner could tell we wasn't happy and went and got the hoover to suck the cobwebs up, put any powder down outside and starting trimming the over grown patio area. The owner also said over the weekend her husband would mow to make a path for us, it never got done. We couldn't sit outside or let our dog off the lead due to it being so over grown or our dog chasing the cat. One thing about the description that is right is it's in a good location, easy access to crantock beach and fistral beach.

We had a great stay at 11 Ebbtide.
We stayed for 15 days in September, the weather was great. Downstairs are the two bedrooms, a dressing, two bathrooms and utilityspace with washer/dryer and garden. Upstairs a big livingroom with views of the beach and sea. On the balcony you can have a sitdown and enjoy the views. There is an nice fully equiped kitchenarea with views at the parking (looking out on our car). The house is a newbuild and has al the facilities you need. Itâs very clean, very good bed, rainshower. Everything was perfect for our holiday. Also the contact with the owner was perfect. We travelled with our two dogs (Viszla and Weimaraner) and the house is excellent for them. A close walk to the beach and coastal path. Also closeby an area for the first morning dogwalk (Century Cr) where you can meet the very friendly neighborhood doggies. There is always a handwave or a friendly talk with the locals. From there you can walk to St Columb minor. A walk to Watergate Bay on the cliffside and a return beachwalk (ebbtide) to Porth is great. Closeby there is the Mermaid Inn for a good meal and a lovely tearoom Gwenna. We and our dogs had a great stay at 11 Ebbtide. Greetings from the Netherlands.
