" It was our first holiday in over 3 years without the kiddies, and it was perfect, quiet place to chill out, but also never far from so much to go out and do. We would highly recommend the steam railway, which is a 4 min walk from the cottage, my partner upgraded to first class, and what an experience, it was beautiful, steam train through the mountains to Porthmadog, we was lucky to have sunshine going through the mountains, but we also had snow whilst we was on holiday, which was even more lovely, especially when it settled on the mountains. I would highly recommend this cottage, as it's a great base for everything, those that want a quiet put your feet up holiday, to those who want to walk or bike up a mountain.. it definitely was home from home. The owner Heather is lovely, nothing was too much and happy to answer any questions, she also sorted a hamper for when we turned up, which was most welcome after a long drive, milk in the fridge, coffee, tea and sugar for your cuppa when you finally get to sit down.. We shall definitely look at booking here again in the future, but will take the children next time. We certainly look forward to it. Thank you for such a lovely cottage Heather, definitely what we needed. "

"We arrived at the house and found it without any issues. The parking was not as bad as we had expected. On entering the property, everything was very clean and tidy and the decor was excellent. Everything was there that we needed to have a wonderful weeks holiday. Heather had left a hamper of goodies for us to enjoy, which, was a bit special. We had never been to Snowdonia before, but, the location of Dol Bach, in the middle of Snowdonia National Park was excellent and we had no problems visiting various places, north, south, east and west during our stay. Fortunately the weather was excellent for the week. You can always tell when you have had a good week, because, the time seems to go so quickly, and, ours went very quickly. So, thank you to Heather, and, thank you to Dol Bach for an excellent weeks holiday!"

"Prepare your Oxygen bottles! This house is on the second terrace above the high street and the roads to the house are 'steep!' However, it's worth it. The views of the Blaenau Ffestiniog hills are magnificent. We found the property clean, warm and spacious. It was very central being close to the high street with a Co-Op, Pharmacy, pet shop and a number of restaurants. It is also convenient to explore south, west and northeast, Betws-Y-Coed only 14 miles away and Porthmadog similarly. Great place for walkers and bikers. The house was well equipped, but gents, if you are an electric razor user, take a converter as all the plugs are standard 13A. We were welcomed with a basket of goodies which was a nice touch. Had a great time there, hope to return in the future"

"The location of this terrace was ideal for our purposes, it being centrally located in the Snowdonia National Park area. The accommodation is situated by the slate quarry and close to the mountain bike and zip wire centre and is a short drive into town. It is possible to walk into town, but there is not a great deal to see or do in Blaenau Ffestiniog and it is a hike back up hill on the A470. By way of feedback points for the owner: the fridge is too small, we were a party of four so required more space for prepared food. Additionally, the electric shower was either scalding hot or too cold. The sofas were a bit tired and not that comfortable. These are minor points and did not affect our stay adversely."
