"We have been to this cottage many times now over the years & wouldn't stay anywhere else. It is a home from home, very clean & tidy & we love it. It starts with the welcoming flowers & treats. It is comfortable, spacious & very well equipped, everything you need is here. They are very dog friendly & even have food & water bowls to save bringing your own. The wonderful Bovey Tracey has many walks & places to visit not far away. There are several supermarkets & local shops which cater for all your needs. Also 2 pubs a minuets walk away. The local church is beautiful inside & the bell ringers very friendly & proud of their church.Although the cottage is close to the main road through Bovey, you cannot hear the traffic at all as it's behind the houses that line the road. It can be a bit tricky to get into Orchards Way on your first visit & is best approached going uphill. We have a large Shogun so if we can get in, cars can easily! I was in need of the local garage this visit as the car broke down. J. Sibly a minuets walk away came to me rescue & despite them being completely booked up for jobs they very kindly fitted me in & got me going again. Cannot praise them enough!"

"Very conveniently in Newton Abbot, S19365 provided a great base to explore south Devon.Supermarkets and high street very close-by as well.House had everything we needed at an adequate level and the dishwasher, washing machine and Wifi were very much appreciated. The kids loved the availability of Netflix.Good space inside the house but very steep stairs and dodgy step on stairs landing took a bit of getting used to. Dubious privacy as well as you can see straight through the glass front door into the living room at night. The house had terrible on-street parking though and we were unable to park outside the cottage the entire week we stayed due to oversubscription of the very limited on street parking available. Had to play musical chairs with the parking in the local area in the evening and early morning every day. We got used to this though once we found a regular routine to it.Special mention must go to the owner of the cottage who was brilliantly accommodating throughout; always quick to respond to anything we needed.Overall the pros outweigh the cons and S19365 is well worth looking into."

"Extremely spacious rooms which ensured that the children could play and enjoy themselves while the adults had copious space. The kitchen was modern and very well equipped. There was enough crockery to cater several times over the maximum number of guests. The building itself was full of character with its quirky walls and floors. There was also good outside space in the garden with large table and chairs for when the weather was kind. The swimming pool was well appreciated by the children and unlike many pools was warm and did not take your breath away when taking the plunge. The children also enjoyed seeing the chickens either wandering around or in their large chicken pen. There is a childrens' play ground but it is fairly basic. The one thing we missed was adequate drying facilities for the washing when the weather did not allow you to use the outside drying lines. The hosts were very friendly and amenable. They provided nice little touches such as fresh flowers in the dining room, an initial batch of free eggs (which could then be purchased daily), and a batch of extremely tasty cakes on arrival."

"Whilst the setting is beautiful, this place was not as described. It is very much geared towards those with disabilities and smelt like an old peoples home. We had no heating for over a week and even after phoning 4 times no one came to fix it. It got so cold my husband came home so the baby could share the tiny double bed with me. The mattress on our bed was so thin I had to put it on the floor as the slats dug in by morning. The pool is not right next to the apartment as stated and it was never free so we didn't get to use it. As for the parking outside the appartment... That is also a lie. You can park a short walk away from the path to the apartment but risk your car sliding down the slope which mine did, 3 times. We didn't see a member of staff once in 14 days and there was nowhere to out rubbish bags. I felt bad leaving them outside. If I'm honest I felt a little unwelcome at this place but needed somewhere to stay whilst building work was being done."

"Lovely farmhouse and good location. It was spacious with a beautiful garden and in a lovely, quiet location surrounded by farm animals. However, with a party of 9 (including two young children) it really does need a second shower; one shower is not sufficient -there was a bath (no shower over bath) but this was not really practical. Also, the back garden has an opening that leads directly onto a busy road and with young children this caused us some concern; we felt that this definitely needed a gate as it was not safe. The information on the farmhouse on-line does need up-dating, in regards to the bath/shower facilities, it also advises that there is a charge for the Wi-Fi per device but Wi-Fi is free and the wood burning stove is no longer in use. Overall we had great holiday and the sun shone almost every day!"
