"A lovely, quiet location and well equipped lovely cottage. The overall experience was marred by some unavoidable factors. We had no heating or hot water for 24 hours in sub zero temperatures due the boiler breaking down, but the owner was very helpful and loaned us an oil radiator and ensured we had access to wood for the log burner, and she quickly arranged repair of the boiler. The weather was so cold and snowy that we all spent much of the time cosied up in the cottage, which was less than ideal and working wifi would have gone some way to alleviate the boredom as we could have accessed online entertainment rather than being subjected to hours of daytime TV! Again, this was a technical issue that happened just before our arrival, and out of the control of the owner. That said, we would definitely visit again. The location is lovely, with lots of walks and exploring to do with our 4 legged friends. The cottage has most of the home comforts you would expect, although the kitchen area is maybe a tad compact for four adults. The owner is very helpful and on hand if needed. And the local pub is very nice, serving delicious home made meals."

"The owners were very nice and friendly, and the cottage is well-located for attractions, beaches etc, and close to a very good local shop. Unfortunately the cottage itself was cold and very damp; so much that my son found it hard to sleep. In addition, much of the equipment was old and rickety. The oven hood was barely functional (though the smoke alarm worked well!!), the communal washing machine and dryer barely worked; it was guesswork how much money to put in, and my clothes came out only slightly cleaner and wringing wet, so I ended up doing my second load by hand. Also, the pool table in the games room cost 50p a go, yet had no white ball. All in all, it was a disappointment, I'm afraid."

"Lovely Bungalow and best equipped holiday home we have been to, the owners had thought of everything even for dogs. Garden was secure so very safe for dogs and plenty of space. We were given a beautiful welcome pack which was from a local farm shop which included bacon, eggs, cheese & milk plus a variety of other things. We were also left a lovely bottle of red wine and an Easter Egg. Ideal location for Tintagel, Boscastle & Port Issac as all within 4-6 miles from the bungalow and only 35 minutes to Padstow plus some lovely beaches which were dog friendly. We will definitely return"

"Well equipped, clean and comfortable. A friendly welcome from the owner, together with a welcome pack including fresh flowers. Set in a quiet little hamlet just off the Atlantic Highway within 15 mins of Camelford (for shops, petrol, fish and chips etc) Tintagel and Boscastle. The only downside, the water pressure was unreliable, went off a couple of times, second bathroom needs a shower and the WiFi was not good, we were unable to connect, not good when you have an internet business to monitor. All that aside we had a lovely comfortable stay at SkiberSpar and we would recommend it."

"Lovely accommodation, very well equipped and very clean. Lovely touches including hamper to collect at local farm shop, wine and welcome card on arrival. Would have been a 10 if the beds and towels had been changed after the first week. Thought for a 2 weeks stay this would be a welcome addition.Fuel in the bungalow is oil, which at times gave out a strong smell of oil in the kitchen.Great location for getting to nearby coastal resorts and beaches. Not much to do in the village, local pub was ok and the fish and chip shop was good. Would we return, yes, definitely 🙂"
