About this property

Nestled on the outskirts of Camelford in Cornwall, is this spacious end-of-terrace cottage, Sailors Retreat. Boasting a coach-house layout, contemporary decors with playful coastal touches and easy access to an excellent selection of glorious beaches, Sailors Retreat is ideal for a family of four or two couples looking for a coastal getaway. Park-up in the convenient off-road parking space, before unloading your bags with ease and stepping into your new holiday home. On the ground-floor of Sailors Retreat, you will find a well-presented double bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe for storing your belongings, and a shower room which is ideal for a refreshing rinse after a day spent at the beach. Climb the stairs to the first-floor, where you will be greeted by a generous open-plan living space, where you can look forward to lounging on the large corner sofa and enjoying a movie marathon with your guests on the TV. As stomachs start to rumble, head to the kitchen to prepare a tasty meal as your guests set the table and uncork a bottle of wine. Settle down around the dining table and tuck-in to the fruits of your labour as you discuss plans for the days ahead. When sleep calls, you also have the option of a tastefully decorated double bedroom, served by an en-suite bathroom, perfect for those looking for a little privacy. Awake from a leisurely slumber and take your morning coffee out on the private courtyard, before preparing for the day in the style and setting out to explore. Venture into the town centre, where you will find a delightful selection of independent shops for a spot of retail therapy, pubs and restaurants for those evenings where you want a night off from the kitchen, and The North Cornwall Museum & Gallery, where you can learn more about the local area. Take the short drive to the nearby village of Tintagel, home to the fascinating Tintagel Castle, the alleged birthplace of King Arthur, where you can soak up the stunning sea views followed by a coffee and slice of cake at the on-site café. Walkers will delight at the beauty of the National Trust Glebe Cliff which leads to the coastal path where you will find a beautiful 14th-century church. Be sure to make a stop at the Tintagel Old Post Office, a charming National Trust cottage housing Victorian delights. Nearby, is the breath-taking Bossiney Cove, where you can bathe in the sun, paddle the clear waters, practice your surfing or build sandcastles with the little ones. A little further is Bodmin, where you can explore a former prison which houses a museum and offers overnight ghost walks or delve into the past at Bodmin Keep. However, you choose to spend your time in Cornwall, be sure to choose Sailors Retreat as your home-away-from-home.

Settled in the heart of Cornwall is the market town of Camelford, enjoying easy access to gorgeous beaches, as well as the scenic country of Bodmin Moor. The town boasts a selection of pubs and restaurants to suit any taste and budget, independent shops for a spot of retail therapy, and a museum and gallery where you can brush up on the local area. Situation of the property at the far end of the estate no problem at all it was a very quiet area. Open their eyes to Cornwall by train bus and car and so many beautiful places from fish and chips in Padstow to the walks in Newquay Fortnight was most enjoyable, I Would not be hesitate to endorse and recommend this apartment

Everything you could possibly need was provided down to the smallest of details. Games, books, leaflets for local attractions and a very helpful folder with lots of information. Beautifully decorated and a pleasure to come back to at the end of a busy day. The downstairs bathroom could do with a blind of some sort for more privacy. Sailors Retreat Is situated ideally for access to many local amenities and towns/beaches. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you.
