"Key Fin is situated right next to the harbour in Newlyn. It is on a reasonably quiet road and has it's on bay in a small car park opposite. The cottage looks traditional and small from the outside, but is full of character and amenities when you get inside. Unusually one of the bedrooms, the twin, is downstairs with the kitchen. However this places the sitting room upstairs giving wonderful views of the harbour, this is a clever and rewarding choice. The kitchen is large and equipped with everything you could want. The cooker came up trumps for us and seemed to cook everything perfectly! There's a large dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, microwave and fridge and freezer. In the kitchen and indeed throughout the cottage, there were numerous books and decorative items; make sure to look in every drawer, as the cottage is full of items, both interesting and useful. Upstairs there is the large sitting room and the double bedroom. In addition to the aforementioned views there is a tele, dvd and sky box. There is also pretty speedy wifi. The sofas are large and comfortable, one opens out to a bed, though we didn't need to use it. Each bedroom has an ensuite; we tended to use the twin room's one, as it has a lovely, large bath. The double has a shower, and there is another shower downstairs off the kitchen. There are also 3 toilets. Newlyn itself, is a lovely village, close (walking distance) to Penzance, there's a supermarket, chemist and numerous restaurants and pubs. It's well situated to access a lot of Cornwall's attractions, e.g. Land's End (the owners gave us a handy tip in their guide to go to Sennen Cove and walk there, which was lovely), Porthcurno (with the Minack Theatre) and St Michael's Mount. We also traveled to Newquay, which is about an hour away and, on the only really rainy day of our week away, went to the small cinema in Penzance. All in all we really enjoyed our stay in the cottage in particular and Cornwall in general. I would recommend Key Fin to any families with 2-3 kids, although probably better for slightly older kids, as the stairs are steep and younger ones might not like being downstairs from the adults? My 14 year old's view is that "it's better than our house", so I guess he liked it too :)"

"Ten Steps Cottage in Mousehole is the perfect holiday cottage - beautifully furnished, generously equipped and ideally located. It is just a minute's walk to the beach which makes all the difference when you need to dash back because you've forgotten something! We also loved the fact that the ceilings are so high - my tall husband finds himself crouching down in many old cottages but not at Ten Steps. Our teenagers loved the games room in particular, with the ping pong table and darts board, and in general the layout of the cottage is such that you feel you have your own space. Mousehole is a brilliant location from which to explore all that this part of Cornwall has to offer - we loved the open air theatre at Minnack, the galleries in St Ives and the fabulous walk from Mousehole to Lamorna. A lot of thought has clearly gone into making Ten Steps the sort of place you want to return to again and again - we shall be back!"

"Sea Shimmer is a beautifully apartment with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. We arrived to find a cream tea laid out for us which we ate in the attractive courtyard garden and it was much appreciated to have a pint of milk provided so we could have a lovely cup of Cornish tea straight away. There was also a lovely little hamper full of goodies and fresh flowers in the lounge and kitchen. The bed linen was probably the crispest, cleanest I've ever seen! The only slight criticism I had was that the towels were a bit rough and a bath mat would have been useful. With regard to parking, it is a bit tricky but fortunately my husband is great at going backwards and we didn't have any problems parking our car. The directions we received to find the property were excellent so I don't really know why some people found it hard to find! I would certainly stay at Sea Shimmer again."

"We had a lovely stay at this cottage/farmhouse. It was so warm and cosy with a modern woodburner in the living room and a warm AGA in the kitchen. It is a very spacious house too so it was great for our family get together. The property is not the most modern so if you are looking for a more rustic/country feel this place is ideal. We loved waking up and going for walks in the country side. There is a footpath right by the property so it was ideal! It was also a great location as it was not too far from penzance for all your supplies. Overall we had a lovely stay, thank you!"
