"Lovely place, ran by great people! After the warm welcome from Kim, thorough teachings of the equipment, some hints and tips of the area and a quick walk-around, we soon discovered how great this place is. There was even fresh scones and sourdough bread waiting for us! It's all extremely well equipped, modern and well fitted - but still very warm and cosy at the same time. It's got everything you could think of needing, plus more. Kitchen is modern and clean, bathroom and shower/bath are lovely (good water pressure), the bedroom is great and the living room is good too. Comfy sofa, log burner (with enough wood!), Full freesat TV, and even the Wifi was plenty fast enough for a bit of streaming/browsing. The place was warm, clean, comfy and very well put together as whole. The only downside we could think of with respect to the facilities was that there is no full length mirror, or a large well-lit one in the bathroom - but this was being extremely fussy! The hot tub definitely needs a mention too. Was great on the cold nights star-gazing with a gin and you can even bluetooth your music to its built in speakers. It's also easy to use. I'd never been fussed about hot-tubs in the past but now it's safe to say "I get it!".The views along the front of the property are amazing. You can see for miles - all the way out to the coastline, and on a clearer day you can even see Snowdon (apparently - weather wasn't on our side really!). Lovely to wake up to every day. After the initial introduction and welcome we were also very impressed by the privacy given to us. We didn't see anyone at all (despite them being closeby) in the entire 3 night stay, yet we had easy and fast contact should we need anything.Access to the place is good too, with local amenities in Bodfari down the road (3 mins drive), and then even more in Denbigh (10mins drive) with Morrisons etc. for anything you might need.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we'd very much come again should we visit the area again sometime in the near future."

"We hired this wonderful house to celebrate my birthday with family members joining us from far and wide! When we arrived the house was warm and very welcoming....the owner called in to make sure we had everything we needed and explained the Aga and hot tub to us. The dining room table is huge and we used it as a family to enjoy our meal for the Hawaiian themed evening for my birthday. The hot tub was a massive hit with everyone and we were also lucky with the weather as we sat outside in March enjoying the sunshine! The views were amazing and we loved having the sheep at the bottom of the garden. We couldn’t completely trust the fencing to the left of the front gate.... we were worried that our smaller dog could have escaped on to the lane.... so would suggest fencing that corner so all dogs are safe 🐶 Please book with confidence as you won’t be disappointed with this gorgeous house and garden....we would definitely return 😊 Thank you!!"

"We wanted a peaceful break without stress or being tied to a routine and this place delivered on so many levels. On arrival we had home made soda bread and scones, with clotted cream and jam, which were delicious and just what we needed after the 5 hour drive from London.Beehive Cottage was very clean, modern and spacious, perfect for a couple to stay in and such a good base to explore the beautiful countryside views and surrounding towns. The seaside town of Rhyl was only a 20 minute drive away, with a sandy beach, lovely in the hotter months. We utilised the hot tub at the cottage and went in it four times on our last day, it was bliss and we definitely want one in our back garden now!! The owners, Kim and Angus were lovely and made us feel very welcome, without intruding on our privacy. If you are prepared for the long drive to Wales, then you wont be disappointed once you get there. We loved it and can’t wait to return."

"Kim and Angus were nothing but amazing! (We warn you, Kim has the most infectious laugh). The cottage itself is in the most beautiful location. Even though we had seen the pictures on the website, it still didn’t prepare us for just how amazing the view was from the front door. Truly stunning! Kim and Angus’ attention to detail when it came to the decor was fantastic. But for us... the bed!! OMG, it has to be the best nights sleep we have ever had away from home. The whole weekend was so incredibly relaxing. The only reason we scored this cottage down slightly was because even though the surroundings would have been wonderful to explore, we pretty much spent all weekend in the hot tub or relaxing in the cottage and the sofa was a little uncomfortable after a while...or we just have ridiculously delicate bottoms!!! Truly, an amazing cottage and can’t wait to go back! Thanks for a great weekend."

"Although set in a lovely location the house itself was a little disappointing. Although advertised for 10 people in reality it only is suitable for 8. The dining table was a squeeze, the kitchen table not big enough, the fridge freezer definitely not big enough for a family of 10 including children. The hot tub didn't work properly, neither did the washing machine. The downstairs bedroom had a constant smell of human effluent coming from a broken drain outside. Many of the window handles were broken and the the floorboards upstairs are the noisiest we've ever heard (not ideal if you're putting children to bed and trying the creep away quietly)!! Its a shame as the location is lovely and the children loved seeing the cows and horses in the morning....The house just needs some money spent on it as it seemed a little unloved and looked rather tired."
