The property generally maintains good cleanliness, though there are isolated reports of dust and marked linens in one of the rooms. These issues seem to be exceptions rather than the rule, as other rooms were described as fine.

The location is highly praised for being convenient, close to Kendal, and within easy reach of the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. Its proximity to the M6 is also noted, making it accessible while still offering a secluded feel.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of the cozy ground floor bedroom and the spacious living areas. However, some discomfort was noted due to a squeaky floor and a temporary issue with an en-suite room being unavailable.

Facilities like the kitchen appliances and hot tub are appreciated, but there are comments on the hot tub not being heated upon arrival and suggestions for additional utilities. Ongoing improvements indicate that facilities are being enhanced.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the owner, aside from the owner's responsiveness to queries and issues. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

Everything was as described in the listing and any minor queries we had were quickly responded to by the owner using the contact details provided. Dargonsfell is the ideal place for a getaway; idyllic rural hillside setting with Kendal and the Lake District within easy reach.

Everything we needed for a break with family. Ideally located away from crowds but close enough to enjoy all that The Lake District has to offer. Need to be mindful of neighbours. Area is so quiet noise travels so need to stick to 10pm curfew.
