  Jwala is a lovely house finished to a high standard. Great location just a short walk to the harbour. Very comfortable beds and the view from the master bedroom is fantastic. The kitchen is very well equipped and the aga was a bonus! Lovely enclosed garden which was great for our dog. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

  Nicely decorated house in a superb location. Great outside space and very peaceful and relaxing. Would book again without a doubt. The Pro’s and Con’s. First the positives. Location is excellent, very short walk into the harbour. Very well furnished and well appointed bathroom. Good quality smart TV’s (with excellent reception) in every room. Spacious and more than adequate for a large family with a dog. We were two with small dog so ample space. Secondly, things anyone booking needs to consider. (Not negative, but important to consider when making your choice). Whilst the dormer bedroom is the best in the house there are no blinds. Take an eye mask (or order one on Amazon Prime which can be delivered to the Post Office down the road for £9.99 the following day). A bit of privacy would be nice for that room. Public Parking is not close. Not an issue if you like walking but not great if you need the car and it’s raining, (rains a lot in Cornwall…) Property is not suitable for older or people with restricted ability. Sofa’s are not good and stairs are steep and slippy. If you can cook with an Electric Aga great, if not, book lots of places to eat out. We took food for the week but gave up after ruining the first two meals. Not an issue eating out in Feb as most places have availability but will be difficult in the summer months (no microwave). Balancing the heating is very difficult. Downstairs is cold but once you turn up the thermostat upstairs becomes unbearably hot. Again, wont be a problem in the summer, but one to consider in the colder months. Hopefully these comments will help you prepare for your visit but rest assured, taking those into account you won’t be disappointed with your stay.

  The property overall is lovely but there are a few basic issues that if rectified would make it very good. Cleanliness: there were previous occupants underwear left in the chest of drawers. I would have expected these to have been checked. Dog hairs on the sofas. The Garden: Needs a real tidy up and the patio needs a proper deep clean, it's dangerously slippery when wet. The cushions for the garden furniture are very dirty. Kitchen 'incidentals': it's a nice addition to have some welcome t-bags etc - not just to be asked to replace those that you use. There was no kitchen cloth etc for wiping down - we provided our own. We stripped the beds and pillow cases , and placed all towels in the bags as requested..but this is a hangover from covid and guests shouldn't really be expected to have to do that, should they? Whilst the property details do mention the low sofas, they really are inappropriate...it's virtually impossible for an adult to get back off them; there are no sidetables etc or soft furnishings at all for relaxing in the evening. The shower downstairs leaks across the floor under the glass screen rendering it almost impossible to use after the first shower of the day. The dining built in benches do need some cushions - the seat by the window pane is split slightly leaving the potential for a very nasty splinter or ripped clothes.
