"Excellent choice for a relaxing break...so quiet... with only the sheep and horses keeping you company. Cottage comfortable and well equipped with an enclosed garden if like us bringing dogs. Central for visiting the coast and the New Forest.... Recommend!!"
    Bev ‐ 26 May 2018
"The cottage is in a brilliant location surrounded by fields. We enjoyed watching the sheep, horses, cows, rabbits and various birds and our two dogs loved it. Good pubs with good food where dogs are welcome nearby, especially The Woolpack but also Fisherman's Retreat and The Three Tuns. Everything we needed in the cottage for a week self-catering and owner, Philip, around and available if needed. Easy and quick to get to the coast and the New Forest with so many different walks for the dogs. Friars Cliff and Warren Edge (Southbourne) beaches excellent for dogs year round. We were lucky to have great weather and had a very enjoyable week."

"Very nice week but unfortunately the winter weather was not kind to us which made walking difficult and going to local pubs had to be by car!! We would return but in spring /summer next time. Facilities were great and the log burning stove was a must for our stay. Hosts were nice and gave us the privacy we were looking for over Xmas."

"Had a fantastic holiday at the kennel mans cottage. The owners couldn't have been better . Would have liked a bigger bed but cottage is very bejou so space is limited"

"Small but lovingly planned accommodation, perfect for two people and not too big a dog. V dog friendly pub a short walk but do have to cross multiple stiles and walk close to an electric fence, didn't identify anywhere to walk dog off lead due to sheep without getting in car but didn't really look as love beaches."
    David
"We had a comfortable and relaxing stay. Approaching by a quiet, narrow country lane, we were pleasantly surprised to see sheep and horses on the smallholding. Good entertainment. We were warmly welcomed by Phil. The welcome pack was another lovely surprise. The kitchen and television area were fine. The bed was comfortable, although we would have liked there to be bedside drawers. The bathroom just did not work for us. You have to be agile to have a shower. With the water running, you need long arms to reach the taps. Otherwise, you have to get out of the bath and move the screen. Whichever way, there will be water everywhere. Even so, this would not stop us staying again."
    Brian
"A pleasant cottage in a very nice location. In easy reach of the new forest and beaches such as Southbourne and hengistbury head. A local pub to be recommended is the woolpack . A very good stay."

"Really nice little holiday let. Brillant weather helped as cottage it out in the open and exposed so may be different if wet and windy"

"The cottage was clean and the bed comfortable. We loved the setting in the fields with sheep and the charter of the place has been kept while it is modern at the same time. It has all we needed. The local pub had nice food and while you are not near shops we didn't want to be!"

"Amazing! Kennelmans Cottage is the perfect place to escape from the stress of every day life. We couldn't have asked for better. The cottage itself is the perfect blend of cute and country. Clearly much time and love has been taken in choosing it's decor and finishing touches. It had everything we could have needed. We can't wait to return with our two dogs who enjoyed the stay as much as we did."
    Sarah
"Beautiful place to stay : ) Highly recommend"
    Corrine
"We had an amazing stay at the kennelmans, the owners were so welcoming! Theres plenty of near by pubs (woolpack being the best) and lots of places near by for day trips Us and the dogs would love to stay again"
    JOHN
"Welcoming hosts, the cottage was fully equipped and was reasonable value."
    Ros
"We loved the location, remote and peaceful. The best feature for us, as the owners of a greyhound and a lurcher which would not have been safe in the enclosed garden (the lurcher could jump for England!) that there were the original enclosed kennel runs, one from the back door which was perfect for our two. We loved it and the owners were attentive without being obtusive. Maybe there could have been a little more in the kitchen dept, eg the main oven didn't work but it was a two oven cooker so not the end of the world! In the absence of internet access (or phone signal) it would have been reassuring to have had a list of phone numbers for doctor, vet, etc very visibly left out."
    Anna-Maria
"We had a fabulous time at Kennelman's Cottage. Peaceful, beautiful location and pretty cottage interior. I could live there for ever! Our little dog loved watching the birds through the floor length window in the late afternoon. Having the horses and sheep as neighbours was something else! Lots to do in the nearby areas too. Lovely little break away from everyday life."
    Lucy
"Lovely cottage on the edge of a village. Nearest neighbours were rabbits and sheep. The place was great for us and the dog seemed to enjoy herself (between running around the garden and lazing in front of the fire).Had a lovely time and would love to stay there again."
    Trevor
"What a beautiful cottage...clean, well equipped and in a relaxing location in a pretty village. We were made to feel very welcome by Phil and Julia (cake and wine on arrival) and nothing was too much trouble. A short walk across the fields along the nature path took us to an enjoyable Sunday roast at The Woolpack ,which was dog friendly, which was a real bonus,The cottage's location is ideal for visits to Bournemouth beach, Hengistbury Head, Lymington and Salisbury. A real gem!"
    Sophie
"This was a beautiful cottage in a stunning location. The cottage was so homey and we wish we could have stayed there for so much longer. Owners were very helpful and accommodating also. It had everything we could have needed for a holiday away. We are very grateful for such a lovely holiday. Thank you."

"Great place to stay, exceptionally clean, well decorated in peaceful surroundings. Could do with some additional storage for clothing, small set of drawers perhaps. Not a problem though when staying for just a week."

"Alot of effort has gone into the decoration of the cottage, it's so pretty! It had everything we needed and heating, shower, TV ect all easy to use. Very closely located to the New Forest and Bournemouth. We had a great time and would definately come back!"

"Overall a lovely relaxing holiday, cottage came up to our expectations (did what it said on the tin) ."
    Dawn & Gary
"A lovely cosy dog friendly cottage, with everything you need, lots of walks from the front door."
    Barbara
"None to the appliances were PAT tested. There were no local telephone numbers i.e local vet, doctor. No instructions of what to do with rubbish although the owner did say that he would sort it (not ideal). The beams were quite low, anyone over 6 foot would struggle. The television was perched on some magazines which were resting on a box of scrabble this made it unstable."
    Zoe
"A very warm welcome from owners. Fantastic cottage & location for exploring Christchurch area & beaches. Very peaceful. Ideal for dogs, ours enjoyed watching the wildlife & sheep which surround the plot."
    Emma
"We loved the cottage so much. It is so beautiful and decorated so well with great attention to detail. It was a bonus discovering the dog run at the back. Our dog loved watching the sheep through the floor to ceiling window. If you want a break in a farm setting, away from the hustle and bustle I would highly recommend this cottage."
    Karen
"Kennelmans cottage is in a perfect spot, with fields surrounding you in every direction. It is an idyllic country setting with sheep as your only neighbours! We really enjoyed our stay - we were able to really chill out + relax which was just what we needed. The cottage is beautiful inside and very cosy, containing everything you could need for your stay. The location is ideal for both the New Forest as well as the many scenic beaches around the area, many of which we visited as well as the beauty spots of Corfe Castle, Lulworth and Swanage. We would definitely return and would recommend if you want a quiet, peaceful break."
    Rosie
"Fantastic cottage in wonderful location. Phil and Julia great hosts and Phil went out of his way to help us. Great place to stay, especially with dogs. Will definitely be back in the future and would recommend it highly."
    Pauline
"We had a fabulous holiday in a brilliant location off the beaten track. Dogs had a fantastic time also. Accommodation was very comfortable and everything finished to a very high standard with lots of the original features remaining. The owners very welcoming and said we could contact them at anytime if there was a problem (which there was not). Would definitely recommend this cottage and location to others in fact have already recommended it to friends and family. Would stay again."
    Peter
"Just what we were looking for. Cottage was immaculate and the owners friendly. Set in a quiet position but near enough to Christchurch to go out for dinner if you wanted. We would not hesitate in recommending this cottage."

"A most delightful cottage in such a peaceful and pretty setting. My visit was just too short and I could have stayed there forever! The attention to detail and tasteful decor made it feel so "homely". Lovely waking up to sheep and lambs. Gorgeous. If you love nature and being away from it all, then this is the place for you. I would love to go back and host Phil and Julia are lovely as well."
    Julie

"Enjoyed the cottage very much. We had a warm welcome and the cottage is very nicely finished. There was everything that we needed. We felt that the dog was made welcome too which isn't always the case. We had a quiet relaxing week and there is so much to do in the area. Would definitely go back!"
    Phillipa
"Our two week stay at kennelmans cottage gave us the opportunity to relax and unwind from the fast pace of life we have. It's rural location gives you peace and quiet but is also very central to explore the area for sightseeing or shopping. We personally chose to explore the New Forest and had many amazing walks with our two terriers. The cottage itself has everything you need for a perfect stay. It was a warm and cosy cottage. Philip and Julia never invaded your private space but we're always at the end of the phone when we needed their assistance. A holiday to remember. Would definitely go back."
