This is a lovely property with plenty of room for all of us.
There are plenty of extras including a piano which my granddaughter adored. The beds were comfortable and linens provided were good quality. The kitchen was well stocked with lots of equipment and the large fridge/freezer was great. Good to have 2 en-suite and a bathroom, all of which were clean and cared for. I would have preferred twin beds in one room. The house is in a lovely location and very easy to access many things to do and see. Beaches nearby were great and miles of sand. Great shop very close by and the pub was a short walk, although the food changed whilst we were they and the new kitchen owners have a very small menu. My only complaints were that cleanliness of the floors needed to be addressed as did all the cobwebs around light fittings and the windows need a bit of maintenance as they blew fully open in the wind. I would return to the property again as it was large, light and airy, well located and had a garden. We had a lovely stay.

This was our first visit to Bournemouth since our honeymoon 49 years ago and we enjoyed every minute of our stay.
The house was exactly as expected with the bonus of the use of the garage so we were able to keep our car safe thank you. The house was very clean and had every thing we needed for our stay including a brilliant washer dryer which I used a couple of times. The only down side was the lounge suite was a bit uncomfortable it would have been better if the seat backs were higher for support but it didnt spoil things. It was great that we had a nice big garden to chill out in and wasnt overlooked so really quiet and peaceful. There are plenty of places to eat and a supermarket is easy to get to so no worries finding provisions. It was great that the buses were easy to find and really frequent so no need to drive everywhere and we could use our bus passes. I would definatly recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday near the sea.

We have stayed in this house over many years for holidays before new ownership last year.
Standards still as high, with some more modern additions ( new settee, dishwasher, and useful sensor light outside front door etc) Key box outside easy to use. Kept well informed by emails from Sykes cottages , and Sykes staff very friendly & efficient on phone calls to book. Will definitely try to book Quay cottage again for future holidays, as its always been our 'little home from home' and still feel so comfortable there under the new ownership. Perfectly positioned near to seafront, with flat walks to seafront, shops, bars & restaurants, Poole Park etc and can park the car in own driveway in front of house. Thanks for a lovely week. The house is in the most fantastic setting with a private garden that leads down to the river. We loved the house - very comfortable bed and loads of storage in the bedroom. The bathroom looked very new and had a good shower and the kitchen was well fitted and equipped. The sitting room was also very comfortable and we particularly enjoyed having the terrace outside. The owner lives on site and was around to answer any questions. Christchurch is just a 10 minute stroll along the river and had everything we needed during our stay.

Overall, a very positive experience - We've stayed here so often that it seems almost like a second home, and so much that we want to see or do is within easy walking distance.
We have just a couple of very minor quibbles that should not distract from our overall satisfaction: 1. The shower caddy for holding soaps, etc. was inconvenient for shorter people. A small shelf would be preferable. 2. The towels apparently had been laundered with a strongly scented detergent. Could a more neutral alternative be found? 3. We were puzzled by the instructions to empty the lint filter on the washer/dryer, as we could not find one either on the machine itself, or in the instruction manual for it.
