"Very good stay at Briar Rigg for 7 of us over New Year. Nice house, well equipped and in a good location. Just a few minor quibbles - top oven didn't work, toaster always tripped a fuse, and downstairs toilet didn't flush properly. and the conservatory has no heating so it's very cold to be in there and watch tv/dvds. But none of that stopped us from having a very good week."

"Great spacious property even for a family of 8. Clean & comfortable. Good supply of crockery, cutlery etc & plenty of hot water. good location. Hope to go again in the future.Ample parking for 2 family sized cars but would struggle to get 4 on the drive as advertised. Didn't bother us as we only had 2 cars."

"We all absolutely loved Brair Rigg the views of skiddaw were lovely. An ideal location with Keswick a short walk away.so much to do locally can not recommend it enough! House a little tired in places but overall great!"

"House out of town. Ten to fifteen minute walk through the park to get to the town. House and decor tired and not very well kept. Down stairs shower had a poor drainage system, towel rail covered in dust, rusty shower fittings, patio door into kitchen had dropped on hinges and couldn’t be closed without a lot of effort, blind broken on outside conservatory door. Toaster in the kitchen kept tripping breaker and toaster was very hot to touch when used, which would be dangerous for a child. Conservatory had two chairs in which when considering it is for eight people is of little use but could of been so much better with more seating in it for which there was adequate room to do.The gutters were leaking at the back onto the conservatory which was noisy during showers. Upstairs shower in main bathroom vibrated the pipe work alarmingly when you switched it on.Single beds in back bedroom were not meant for adults more for a child. Wardrobes in front and back were meant for children. With the stunning views from the front of the house the potential for this property is far from realised. Not deserving of four more a three."

"Lovely house. Good location near the A66 and within really easy walking distance of town. Very close to an excellent pub and a bikers cafe for breakfast. House has everything you need including places to dry your wet gear (we were there over a very wet weekend and this was really useful). We like it for the private parking so we can arrive and park then leave the cars alone until we go home."

"A great base for a multi generation holiday with walks from the door and just a short walk across the park to town centre and bus station.Sofas and beds very comfy, enough kitchen equipment to self cater for 8. Oh and 3 toilets and showers!!Briar Rigg could to with a few maintenance jobs, 3 blown bulbs in the kitchen, outside light not working, downstairs wet room not draining well, en suite shower door can easily come off runners. But for comfort, the fabulous view to the front, quiet location and space inside, I wouldn’t hesitate to book again."

"Nice location and a very good accomodation."

"A great location on the edge of Keswick. The cottage had 3 good bath/shower rooms for the 4 bedrooms. Lovely views over Skiddaw."
    Ursula ‐ 18 Apr 2019
"We had a great week and would highly likely book again!"
    Dawn ‐ 4 Mar 2019
"A super base to explore Keswick and the wider Lake District. House is ideally located and has most things you need. Only criticism is the equipment in the kitchen - for a home that caters for 8, there isn't the range of cooking utensils needed to cook a large family meal. Good showers in every bathroom. Warm house. Beds very comfy. Parking spaces."
    Anita ‐ 2 Jan 2019
"We booked for Xmas 3nights . Very impressed nice and modern. Modern bathrooms . Large modern tv to watch Xmas movies. Pub at end of Rd. A short walk through the park to the centre of Keswick ??"
    Terence ‐ 4 Dec 2018
"We enjoyed our stay. The house was clean, warm and well equipped. Difficult to find as there were roadworks right outside with temporary traffic lights. Not a fault likely to reappear. Keswick is as nice as ever. But in December in the rain a long walk through Fitz Park so we drove into town. Parking easily available but pricey during the day but free after 7.00pm. We really enjoyed our stay."
