"The plumbing needs sorting out. One the showers didn’t work at all others were hit and miss.Overall though a very nice relaxing week. With members of the family."

"Excellent location to explore Dorset and the coastal towns, house is spacious and has everything you need"

"Loved staying at the farm.Ray and wife were so welcoming.Perfect for a group gathering. And free eggs.!"

"A nice holiday complex set in the Dorset countryside in a good location. Mostly satisfactory but in our bathroom, the toilet did not flush, nor did the shower work on the first day. Also one of the ovens did not properly operate. We notified this & were told this would be attended to. Unfortunately this did not happen during our 4 day stay. We had noticed similar comments made earlier this year by customers. These issues did not unduly hamper our enjoyment of the property as there were several bathrooms and the house was otherwise very comfortable and homely."

"Pleasant location, potentially a nice holiday property but not well maintained. Problems mentioned in previous reviews still not corrected. Toilets and taps especially. Plates need replacing."

"This property is in a good location to visit many of Dorset's attractions, Tank Museum, Kingston Lacy, Wimborne, Weymouth, Poole etc. House itself needs a bit of TLC as it appears a little unloved and in some places slightly dated. Bedroom doors though shut, would rattle when people are walking about, the plumbing was often noisy and some of the crockery was chipped and mismatched. We arrived on a chilly day but the heating hadn't been turned-up to reflect the low temperature, so the property felt cold, though afterwards the house was warm except the kitchen which always felt a little cool. We assumed this was because the Aga has been replaced with a range cooker, hence previously no need for heating. Leaflets for things to do in the area were available, but some were dated 2015 so the information was not likely reliable / accurate. Perhaps at the start of the season the owner should discard out of date literature and replenish with the latest information."

"A lovely cottage in a very nice position. The warm welcome together with the fresh eggs were appreciated. Some of the facilities could do with upgrading, in particular the kettle, the tumble drier and the washing machine. We also found the wood burner difficult to light. All this said we enjoyed our stay and would do it again. The younger members of our family found the close proximity to Poole and Bournemouth was an added bonus."

"Large comfortable cottage. Good location. Well equipped. Plumbing a little noisy."

"This property has the potential to tick all the boxes, but sadly did not reach that ideal. The property itself is well laid out and comfortable, new carpets had recently been laid and with 5 TV's, DVD player and wifi. For the four couples that our group consisted of, it met the majority of our requirements. There was a nice touch on arrival with a welcome pack including wine, biscuits and a selection of cheeses, which was appreciated and a couple of days after arrival, Ray the owner turned up with a dozen eggs, again a nice touch. The location is quiet and the views from our bedroom were very pleasant. On the downside though, there were problems with the plumbing and electrics, both of which had previously been raised by earlier occupiers and still not fixed. Briefly these comprised of taps not working, 2 were replaced during our stay though. The downstairs bedroom shower only ran cold, until it was discovered, by chance after 4 days, that if you ran the cold tap in the basin, the shower then produced hot water. this still needed fixing when we vacated. There are problems with the dimmer switches at the bottom of the stairs and in one of the upstairs double bedrooms, causing the lights to flicker, go out and flicker again when you turned them. There was only sufficient crockery and cutlery to effectively enable one course meals. Not very good if you are having 3 courses and have to wash up between courses. There was however a good supply of wine glasses. There are 2 cookers, but neither are very good and the smaller one needs repairing or replacing. The other one blocks the saucepan cupboard, making it difficult to access the contents. A constant smell of diesel or heating oil in the property was unpleasant and needs to be investigated and stopped. There was also a broken lampshade in one of the upstairs double bedrooms, dead batteries in a TV remote and no spare bulbs, one blew. Our double bed could do with a new mattress and a duvet that fitted the bed properly. The property could do with some TLC and we felt that a price of around £1800.00 for the New Year week was quite expensive considering the issues we encountered. For that price, the property should have been up to scratch. The parking for 3 cars is quite tight and you have to reverse through a narrow entry and then manoeuvre at least one car into the space to allow the other 2 in. This could be a challenge for drivers without good spacial awareness.Despite the above, we had an enjoyable stay and would consider staying there in the future, but only if the work to bring the property up to the required standard was carried out."

"Lovely clean modern comfortable accommodation . All our needs were catered for. We had a great weekend with friends , a bonus with all four rooms being en suite. The only downside for us was the walk to the closest pub for meals and drink was much further than the website said. It was a good 35 minute walk on dark , rough pathways. We used the local taxi service !"

"Relaxing peaceful time. Friendly caretaker, helpful but not intrusive."

"We enjoyed our stay but felt there were a couple of issues that needed to be addressed. 1. Our party number was eight, so there was not enough cutlery or crockery supplied. We oftened had to wash plates or cutlery during a meal.2. There were a number of maintenance issues, one of the cookers didn' t work and had knobs missing. Also various lights in the house didn't work, maybe because of bulbs, but I'm not sure as we didn't have bulbs available to replace them. The pendant light in one of the bedrooms was in danger of coming unscrewed and falling down. It was also quite dark in the lounge a couple of table lamps would have helped."

"A lovely spacious farmhouse with plenty of room for 3 generations of us, and a room to spare. We were impressed with the size of rooms and appreciated the 4 bathrooms which ensured privacy for each person if needed.Raine and the owners, Ray and Sue,were very friendly and helpful, thanks especially to Raine on the info about train pick up at Holton Heath for our daughter which saved us lots of time."
"Nice spacious cottage in a good location. Sadly let down by lack of cleanliness. Towels had seen better days (would recommend taking own), bath panel was hanging off on upstairs corner bath also shower was faulty in this bathroom, would not work unless sink tap was running to start with then a horrible smell of eggs came from the shower. Had to wash all kitchen cutlery draws out as very dirty. Hoover would not work. Carpet looks very dirty and stained.Windows very dirty but lovely views. No dustbin bags provided for rubbish.Such a shame as a lovely place in a great location and these small few things sorted out would make it great again and also a good clean through which many people have mentioned in previous reviews, but overall a nice holiday had by all."
"This spacious cottage was in a fabulous location but was badly let down by lack of basic cleanliness. Although we did not let this spoil our holiday, we were disappointed that on our first evening we had to request that sheets be changed on one of the beds as there was evidence that this had not been done. We were told on arrival that the carpet had been cleaned that day and indeed this was clean, however we then discovered that this had left a lingering smell, described by my daughter as smelling like 'wet dog'. The cutlery drawer had crumbs from previous occupants, two week old newspaper was found down side of sofa, crumbs under sofa cushions, dirty washing machine drawer, rusty baking trays, bagless hoover full of old debris, sheets and towels that have seen better days and really should be replaced. Last but not least, the windows were exremely dirty and we were reminded of this every time we looked out at the wonderful views from the cottage. There were no dishwasher tablets or cleaning materials at the cottage but toilet rolls had been left for us. Welcome pack consisted of small carton of milk and packet of cookies. This cottage fell way below the standard expected and, having rented many holiday cottages over the past 10 years, this is the first time that I have had to give a review such as this. It is a real shame because this cottage is in a fabulous location, close to Poole and Bournemouth and set in the beautiful Dorset countryside. Myself, my husband, two daughers and 3yr old grandson had a lovely week visiting many places and the weather was beautiful too. In the evenings we enjoyed sitting outside the cottage on the patio and terrace where there were beautifully planted hanging baskets everywhere. There were no other visitors during our stay, so it was very peaceful and quiet."
"Wifi needs to be upgraded we stayed as a family but my brother still had to work wifi is abysmal other than that lovely stay friendly hosts"
"We required 4 bathrooms for our party of 8. This was perfect. The location was very rural and close to an excellent golf course, this met our requirements.we were well supported by the onsite representative ."
"Excellent location being close to the Isle of Purbeck and Bournemouth etc. with good views, very peaceful and nice walks from your doorstep. Only criticisms would be more crockery would be nice for the size of the property and a few little tidy-up jobs around the house. Overall though I recommend the house and would consider staying again."
"Really enjoyed our stay at Redbridge farmhouse. Four good size bedrooms with 3 ensuites and a one separate bathroom. Tvs in all the rooms .There is a nice big lounge area and a nice seating area outside .Bad points- No toilet rolls in any bathroom (so make sure you bring your own). No welcome pack as advertised (only a pint of milk and a cake )."
"We had a very enjoyable holiday. We felt the accommodation had a slight feel of end of season as the carpet in the lounge was badly stained and there were a lot of large weeds in the garden. Overall the accommodation suited us very well and we loved being able to enjoy breakfast in the garden, thanks to lovely weather."
"This is a lovely house in a great location with large rooms (both bedrooms and other areas) and large garden. It was generally clean (other than very badly stained carpet in lounge) with good quality fittings, equipment, beds etc, and could have been amazing but was let down by little things like lack of towel rails and washing line and some maintenance issues. We reported the non-draining shower and stuck bathroom plug and they were sorted out but also several lights not working, broken toilet-roll holders and showers needing de-scaling. Also very awkward to get in/out of one bath/shower due to shower screen being stuck in place and location of toilet right next to bath. Luckily there were four showers and three baths so even with some problems there were plenty of others to use!Just needs a bit more effort and it will be wonderful. We did enjoy staying there though and it only slightly detracted from our enjoyment of the property as it was so spacious and well-located."
"Ideal location for a family group. Plenty of bathrooms so no queuing. Outdoor space very good. Very friendly, helpful people."
"Great, peaceful location with good access in each direction to something interesting, including walks from the farm. The property manager Raine and her husband were excellent for information and support when needed. Each room has its own bathroom. Comfortable outside space for barbecues etc and lawn for relaxing or football!Advice for improvement: the place is getting to look a bit tired; stains on carpets, dwindling number of glasses/matching crockery etc."
"Large, comfortable cottage. 4 Spacious bedrooms with own bathroom. Safe, fenced area for children. We stayed there with 6 adults, two 3-year olds and a toddler of 15 months. Very welcoming owners who surprised us with a homebaked cake and fresh eggs from their chickens. We were the only occupants at our time of stay, so it was nice and quiet with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. Only downpoints were the cleanliness of the kitchen cupboards, they could do with a thorough checkup and cleaning, and the pungent smell of the oil fired Aga. The kitchen as well as the adjoining bedroom downstairs smelled very strongly of oil."
"Lovely holiday the facilities and venue suited us and lovely cake with awesome eggs"
"Good property with space for 8 adults in good comfort. Bedrooms were of a good size. The lounge could accommodate the party and the dining table was of a good size. The location was ideal for our purposes - visiting locations in East and Central Dorset and the Isle of Wight. Despite the farm location, there were no adverse impacts from farm noises/smells. From the bedroom windows, there were vies of Poole Harbour and the chalk downs of the Isle of Purbeck. We found that there were many pleasant and reasonably priced restaurants in the vicinity of the property. In short we had a very pleasant holiday at the property and consider that it was great value for money."
"A lovely house and great warm welcome by the owners.Farm eggs for breakfast😀😀👍👍👍And the wonderful animals and for our girl to be able to take a horse ride!!!"
"Great visit, very friendly welcome with cake and fresh eggs. Would happily recommend."
"Poorly equipped , had to buy extra glasses. Felt grubby , badly stained carpets. Smelt of oil in kitchen."
"The holiday cottage was lovely and we had a very warm welcome from the cottage manager and the owners. It is in a good location for visiting many attractions and some lovely scenery. The area is very peaceful had a very relaxing two weeks."
"Spacious cottage with pleasant ambience. High class interior fitting in all rooms. Very friendly and helpful owners with high responsiveness. Unfortunately not enough dishes, cutlery, glasses. Another coffeemaker would be helpful. Kitchen should be cleaner. Livingroom carpet with ugly spots all over the place. WiFi insufficient."
"Great stay in a great house. The kids loved the farm and all the horses."
"I had booked this holiday from the website because it had a games room unfortunately this was not so it was in the next barn that hadn't even been advertised until August of this year"
"The electric cooker needs attention as nobs kept falling off"
"Lovely cottage in delightful setting. Hot water wasn't really hot and issues with ensuite showers. Would happily return if concerns were addressed."
"Redbridge Farmhouse is a lovely property with a good level of decor and furnishings. It made a great base to catch up with friends. We had a few issues with the heating but Raine, the site manager, was very apologetic and did her best to resolve them for us. Our only complaints would be that some areas of the property weren't as clean as we'd have liked (particularly the kitchen) and the kitchen could do with some more cooking and serving dishes. That all said - we're already looking when we can return!"
"Fantastic place to stay, wonderful cost cottage whist still accommodating 8 people and 2 babies!! Raine the manager of the cottage was so friendly and really welcoming and also very approachable. Just looking for the next occasion to be able to rent the cottage again!! "
"We recently stayed at the Farmhouse and we had a fantastic time there, it was really cosy and homely. The owner is extremely welcoming and accommodating, we would definetly stay there again:-)"
"Perfect holiday accommodation for a large party very comfortable, views across the farm were lovely plenty of private garden space around the house for children to run around there is plenty to see with lots of chicken’s ducks horse’s sheep, the owners and staff where very welcoming and friendly genuinely lovely people "
"Everything was perfect - even better than the photos on the website. We were celebrating our Golden Wedding Anniversary with three other couples and we have wonderful memories of a very special occasion in beautiful surroundings. The owners were so friendly, likewise Raine who was really helpful & accommodating. We would definitely like to return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to our friends & family."
"Great location just what we were looking for and at a sensible price"
"Had some problems with showers and hot water some of which were resolved during our stay.Felt as though the kitchen could do with more basic equipment and things like dish cloths and dishwasher tablets on arrival. BBQ and patio were cleaned after we asked. Carpet up the stairs was stained. Basic lack of attention to detail. After having said all that this is clearly a great property that has a fantastic amount of inside and outside space and worked well for us as a party of seven. Owners really brilliant and I am sure all the above niggles will be dealt with. We enjoyed our stay."
"Really lovely and unique place had a fab time"
"Wow what more can I say ! The farmhouse was gorgeous and the farm itself was just perfect with the chickens and goats and horses. The children were made to feel very welcome and were invited to help feed the chickens and bottle feed the goats. We were even lucky enough to go horse riding on site and see hr old chicks. The greenhouses full of vegetables on site were open house so the children loved picking fresh veg, although my daughter wasn't keen on the yellow cucumber but happily ate the green ones. The farm manager and her daughter were wonderful as were the owners. We made use of the disabled aspect of the farmhouse for my 88yr old Grandfather and it surpassed all expectation.Overall a fab holiday had by all. Only downside was location as a bit far to certain places we wanted to visit and not many quaint tea shops.... Cannot go on holiday without a cream tea.Big thumbs up from all 7 of us."
"Good size on working farm, plenty of parking space and grounds .Hosts on call if required and most helpful "
