"Small but absolutely perfectly formed This was our very first visit to Cornwall and I have without doubt left a piece of my heart thereNewlyn which is simply a beautiful non touristy fishing town was the most perfect place to stay The cottage is immaculate with exceptional attention to detail 2 comfy sofas with coordinating throws for chilly nights (of which we had none as the sun shines all week)Every pot/dish cup/glass adults and children alike catered for Excellent quality bed linen and towels The whole cottage is beautifully put together and was a fantastic baseIt is on the road but it is not a busy road and had no negative impact on us. The parking space is straight opposite which was greatLocal pub 1 min from cottage was lovely. Very inviting with large open fireMackerel sky seafood bar in the village is a must. Stunning food great atmosphere and superb serviceDukes cafe also excellent And the icing on the cake is Newlyn Cinema. Simply beautiful cinema house with an incredible menuCottage makes for very easy walking to Mousehold (The Old Coastguard Inn) has the most incredible garden, which on a chilly day can be viewed from the gorgeous sofa area that overlooks the garden. An absolute must2 Fore Street in Mousehold fantastic food on an eveningRock pool cafe, gorgeous place for breakfast/lunchPort Isaac is fab. Day worth the trip. Didn't really care for Padstow too much (Very touristy) but had the most exceptional lunch at Prawn on the lawnAnd without doubt the most magical/beautiful place we visited across Cornwall was Porthcurno and Minack Theatre. Simply sublime"

"Lovely cottage, well equipped and ideal location for exploring. Two good sized bedrooms, big bathroom with roll top bath and separate shower cubicle, well equipped kitchen. Walking distance of all local facilities (Swordfish pub highly recommended if you like a pub with a lively atmosphere; The Bridge restaurant very good also), and easy travelling distance to most of the main tourist attractions. Downsides to the cottage - lack of parking, which we knew about but virtually no free parking in the town, so if the itinerary of the your day falls wrong, it can cost a fair bit in terms of paying car park fees. Also most car park fees start from 8am in the morning, so little chance of a holiday lie - in as alarm had to be set to make sure we got a car park ticket on the dashboard by 8am! Also, the appeal of the little sitting area to the front of the cottage was lessened due to the untidiness of the adjoining property.Overall, the property was ideal for what we needed, and we have recommended it already to a couple of friends who have asked us about it."

"I loved this cottage and its location in the centre of the village. We stayed during a really cold spell in March when most of the country was inches deep in snow (but not in Mousehole). The cottage proved very draughty and hard to keep warm, especially around the front door which opens into the lounge. The bedrooms also were cold and needed the heat on all night. In fairness, once the cold snap passed we were a lot more comfortable. My biggest beef is that although described as 'dog friendly' there is no garden or any outside space at the cottage. This necessitated several 10 minute trips every day, including first thing and last thing, up the hill to the nearest grassy area and a poo/rubbish bin. Dogs were also, surprisingly, not allowed on the beach areas even in the winter months, so again that was not an option for my two dogs. The nearest dog walking beach was 3 miles away! I wish that had been made clearer, as I wouldn't have booked this cottage had I realised the inconvenience of having the dogs here."

"The village of Mousehole is very cosy and we loved it especially in the morning before all the tourists fell into the village. The cottage is situated closely to the small and nice little harbour- awfully you don‘t see anything of harbour nor beach since you are surrounded by the other buildings and find yourself in the „Second row“. Anyway the seagulls are always well heard.....And People from the appartement opposite may look into your sleeping room. We would have loved to find the cottage in a clean and suitable estate but -as mentioned by the management- the cleaning team seems to have had only very few time..... I didn‘t expect that it is the task of the holiday guest to clean the house-anyway I had to do it since the cleaning team obviously doesn‘t know what a vacuum cleaner is and I like my bathroom without someone else‘s hair. Even the bed linnen in our son‘s bedroom was dirty! To me and my experience at this price level you ought to expect more....."

"Our favourite cottage. Ideally placed, lovely view from the front bedroom and just what you need as a good solid base. There has been some upkeep improvements and it is always so clean when you arrive. Okay, it may not be plush furnished to some folks standards but for us it is just fine and is comfortable and clean, ideal location and excellent value for money. I hope we as a family have many more happy stays here. I love sitting in the window watching the world roll by or catching that first glimpse of sun on the water from the bedroom. Just a stones throw from the Harbour, the Ship Inn or deli Hole Foods and a short stroll to the Coastguard where you can enjoy a glass of your choice overlooking interrupting views of the Cornish Coast. Thank you."
