    Richmond Holiday Cottages

Richmond, North Yorkshire, is often referred to as the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales - and it's not hard to see why. It's situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and is close to the likes of the River Swale, Easby Abbey, and Richmond Castle. Over the years, it's inspired many painters, poets and authors and hundreds of holidaymakers have found a place in their heart for the historic market town of Richmond too.

Richmond holiday cottages really are something special. Think 18th century houses, Georgian townhouses perched on the cobbled market square and grade II listed stone built properties. Of course, many of them come with family friendly amenities like open plan living areas, games rooms, large gardens, private parking and even hot tubs! In fact, the Georgian architecture of this town is just one thing that is sure to impress you as, inside, the accommodation gets even better.

At Snaptrip, we have thousands of properties so you can be sure you'll find something the whole group will love - whether travelling with friends, family or even your better half. What our customers say about their holidays

    • Christine - Verified booking

      Cute 1 bedroom cottage.

Very relaxing chilled out break had. Cottage was well equipped for our needs, really comfy bed, good TV with fire stick access to streaming channels. Great walk in shower (only issue was water drainage poor until husband unclogged drain). Freezer section on fridge - door not closing properly (probably needs defrosting). Instruction needed for cooker dials as not clear what symbols meant - had to google in order to figure out to use oven. Nice enclosed courtyard to sit out weather permitting. Visits to barnard castle, Eppleby, staindrop, high force, gainford, romalkirk, Middleton in teesdale, eggleston, ovington and Hatton magna. All in all a relaxing break - would return for peace and calmness.

Pheasant Cottage is lovely, hence our 2nd visit!

. We love it's remote location with all the walks from the doorstep, the wildlife (had 2 grouse in the garden!) and the night skies are amazing. Although remote, it's not far down to Reeth or Richmond for provisions and you can easily get around the Dales by car to visit other locations. We did a lovely circular walk from Keld to Muker. We last visited in May so this was the first time we had used the coal fire. It made the cottage lovely and warm and so cozy on a dark night. We cooked each night in the kitchen which is well equipped. Would recommend to anyone wanting a cozy cottage to get away from the stress of everyday life.

We both had a lovely week's holiday in Reeth, which was made even better by the location of Dibble Cottage, which is right in the centre of the village.

The fact that the bedroom and shower is on ground floor, whilst the kitchen/dining area and living room were upstairs was an added bonus and this was because it was a very hot week and so when you went down the stairs to bed, it was lovely and cool. Whilst Dibble Cottage may be small, it is modern and lovely, clean and tidy and was ideal for a couple like ourselves. The welcome on the little chalkboard, plus the lovely artisan bread, milk and flowers, plus the bottle of prosecco were a lovely touch by the owner. We shall return. David & Carol.

    • Susan - Verified booking

Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Dibble Cottage.

Comfortable and very cosy. Didn’t need to use the wood burner fire as the electric radiators were more than adequate to keep the place warm. It would have been useful, however, to know when the timers were set to come on & off. We eventually used the manual setting. Very well equipped kitchen. Modern bathroom. Bed & pillows v comfortable. As it was December when we there the light through the window shutters in the morning wasn’t a problem but could be in summertime. Very kind of the owners to leave a ‘welcome’ pack’.

Dibble Cottage is wonderful- small, but perfectly formed.

There is nothing you could want for. The bed is superb, the shower is great. We lit the woodturner a couple of times, but we mainly had good weather. We had our regular Sainsbury's delivery rerouted. We ate outside the Black Bull one lunchtimes restrictions were lifted and where we could meet with a relative for the first time in a year. Plenty of walks without using the car. I was very disappointed the river walk to the suspension bridge was closed and there was no warning till we got there.
