    • Barbara - Verified booking

I believe the write-up failed my expectations.

It was minimal and didn't give a true picture. If the detail had been accurate, it would have met my expectations. The cottage was basic and tired looking, although very clean. The sofas and bed were quite hard and old. The towels were old although clean. There were no sharp knives which hindered catering and could have been put in the description so that I could have taken some to use. The shower's pressure was minimal. There were no curtains or blinds on the rear windows (only nets) and didn't feel private when people were walking up and down for many hours on the path behind. It would be impossible to have a private shower in the evening with no curtains and the light on. The internet went down half way through which meant that I vacated the cottage earlier than the checkout day because BT weren't going to find the fault for 2 days and I had online work commitments. Plus points - the cottage was quiet, there was ample parking, nearby beauty spot of Bossiney Cove, the host was polite.

      Good location to Tintagel itself.

Walking time 10 to 15 minutes to shops/ pubs/castle. Garden apartment in a very quiet area with off road free parking. The apartment itself was a good base. Warm with a wood burner and some wood provided, central heating good(we visited in October so wet and cold outside) Bed soft (husband did have an aching back at times) and unusually low. Bathroom lovely with over the shower bath with good hot water. The only criticism was a blind/curtains needed at the window/door in the bathroom instead of a net curtain. I did feel a little exposed so had to stand bags on the chest of draws in front of the window. Also a blind in the kitchen rather than nets for same reason, we were there in winter so darker nights, lights on! Otherwise a pretty, functional apartment. Good price, good area. Easy access to local amenities. Good walking, lots of lovely(steep) coves. Bossiney cove a gem..

The garden apartment was situated right beside the south west coast path.

I only drove my car once in a week. Easy walk to Tintagel village, beautiful tea rooms 3 mins from apartment. St Nectans glen was just 3 /4 min drive . Perfect place for walking. Peaceful, quiet area in bossiney. Very friendly people. Absolutely wonderful apartment, everything you would need. Lovely patio garden for my dog. Tons of wood for wood burner. Everything was done to perfection. Make sure you get all your food as Bude was the nearest supermarket. We took a couple of extra towels to put on bathroom window and kitchen window for night time , as there is a passage way behind the apartment. Do not let that put you off, it was everything it said, beautiful and peaceful. Plenty of parking and amazing views. Definitely going to book again. The owners thought of everything. Amazing holiday. Thank you so much

Lovely cottage which is even better than the photos.

Perfect size for two of us plus our dog, good facilities and wonderful view from the land to the sea beyond. Location is great, Tintagel is a 15 minute walk away with some good pubs and shops (Premier and Spar for essentials). Lots of attractions nearby, the cliff walks are stunning, and make sure you go down to Bossiney Cove (steep and rocky) and Trebarwith Strand (get there early!). Rocky Valley and St Nectans Waterfall are also well worth a visit and walking distance away. No real negatives, the net curtain at the kitchen didn't bother us. The outdoor area is overlooked by the adjoining cottage but they pulled their curtains. We may be back next year :)

The size of the cottage was perfect , i just thought it could have done with a bit of an update.

More the kitchen , the bath was a bit narrow so could only use the shower, The bed was uncomfortable .The photos made look like it was a cottage set in country side and it was surrounded by other property's. They was no personal touch , if we had't had trouble with the T.V we would;t have known who the owner was. They was no welcome pk , we have never stayed in one of your cottages and not met the owners or had some sort of welcome pk . Saying this we had a great holiday
