"We booked Leyburn Manor for three nights including Valentine's Day. The idea was for our children and grand-children to get together all under one roof. We arrived first and were absolutely blown away with everything we saw. I couldn't wait for the rest of the family to arrive. I can still hear their gasps of "wow" and see the looks of wonder on their faces. There were seven children ranging from two to eleven years. Nine year old Jack made straight for the snooker room - he loved it. This was also popular with the adults. The younger children enjoyed the freedom of space and needed very little in the way of any other entertainment. Wonderfully comfortable beds set in huge bedrooms with ample spacious, interesting bathrooms. All nineteen of us sat round the dining table for Sunday dinner. Cooking together in the well equipped kitchen was fun. I loved the house so much I could have spent all my time in it. We did, however walk to Leyburn and two families explored the castle and the children played in the house's garden. A beautiful house in a lovely part of Yorkshire."

"Vane house is situated in osmotherly couldn't of picked a better village to stay in .we were given an early check in so had a full first day there, owner rang us with directions and how to pick key up and left us a welcome pack of butter ,bread and milk .we were a party of 2 and one large dog and found the place big enough for us ,fantastic shower ,comfy beds ,but tv could be placed diff as had to crane necks to watch ,was a bit cold in a morning and even when I turned knobs on radiators there was no heating ,I did get the towel rail to work though to dry towels ,owner was very polite when ever we saw him and asked if everything was OK ,great secure off street parking provided with our annexe ,overall was a lovely 4 night stay booked few days before so got a good deal ,would definatly stay again if in that area"

"Lyn and John were a lovely couple. Very friendly they had a nice welcome pack when we arrived, milk, free range eggs from their chickens amd a nice packet of biccys. They mentioned we could use their garden which had some beautiful views. We used a couple of walking paths near by to walk our dog which were long enough to let him do his business before we went out and about each day. Very close to the city of York and an hours drive to Scarborough and Filey. The apartment was above their garage, we could smell petrol however didn't spoil our time we just opened the barn style door to let fresh air in. Everything was çlean and tidy and the bed was very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back should we be wanting another stay down that part of the country."

"I thought the cottage itself was very cosy, welcoming and very clean. However for us privacy was an issue as the holiday home was in the owners garden at the side, the lounge bathroom and bedroom windows overlooked their garden. We had to keep curtains and blinds closed for privacy as both owners and kids were in garden during our stay quite a bit of the time so we were disturbed by noise of kids and dogs barking alot. WiFi did not connect at all during stay. The bed was a real let down far too small for couple should be at least a full double not small 4 ft. My husband slept on sofa. We were disturbed by the noise of the cockadooledoo around 4 am every morning waking us all up. We actually got up on our last day at 4 am packed up and left. Very disappointed over all sorry."

"Booked a last minute visit to Woodlea as we wanted to get away from the Midlands to near the coast, and with Woodlea being pet friendly it became the ideal choice, especially as our dog struggles with stairs so being on 1 floor really helped.I can't fault the place, was cosy and comfortable, the only thing lacking were a few 'extras' Like wood for the log burner/ kitchen roll for the kitchen. In all fairness im sure if we'd have got in touch with the owners they'd have provided us with some but as it wasn't mentioned in the manual that was in the place on arrival, I didnt want to put them out.Nearest shop is 10mins drive away but there are big supermarkets in the nearby seaside towns (about 25minute drive)All in all a very nice experience, would stay again!"
