Lavender Cottage in Leyburn is cherished for its stunning views, historical charm, and excellent location for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. Guests appreciate the clean, well-equipped property, cosy ambiance, and local amenities including pubs and shops. While some mention challenges with parking and access, the overall experience is highly regarded for its tranquillity and proximity to nature.
The cottage is consistently described as spotlessly clean, with guests noting the thoroughness of COVID measures. The high standard of cleanliness contributes significantly to the comfort and enjoyment of the stay.
The location is praised for its magical setting, proximity to local amenities, and access to walks in the Dales. However, some concerns about parking and accessibility for those with mobility issues slightly affect the score.
Guests find the cottage cosy and the bed comfortable, with an open fire adding to the charm. However, some mention the property can be cold and the seating could be more comfortable, which slightly lowers the score.
The cottage is well-equipped with modern conveniences and broadband, though some guests suggest improvements such as better heating and a proper shower setup. The presence of an open fire and quality bedding are positives.
While guests mention thoughtful touches like a pint of milk in the fridge and coal provided for the fire, there is not enough consistent information about gifts or additional thoughtful gestures to accurately score this category.
