What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Llanllawddog To Rent.

"The cottage was cold when we arrived and not very clean. We tried to light the log fire but it filled the room with black smoke as it had not been cleaned out, which forced us to open the front door letting out the smoke but cold air in. We slept in our clothes on the first night. The heating is controlled by the owner and it had been set to 9 degrees. I could not fill the bath due to lack of hot water and when I did manage to fill it half way with warm water half of it drained out due to a faulty bath plug. If that wasn't bad enough the shower partition over the bath fell off nearly hitting my 18 month old on the head. After speaking to the owner I was disappointed as he advised that he was at a total loss to understand why we were cold (we are a family of five two adults three kids aged 9, 4 and 1) and was quite defensive of the situation. The heating was set to 20 degrees by him but the property remained so cold we had go go out early in the morning and return late at night then jump straight into bed. Fortunately the Easter weekend brought nice weather to keep us warm outside. Very disappointed by both the cottage and the owners attitude needless to say we won't be returning to Penlan."

"Gwili Cottage was absolutely immaculate when I arrived. This cottage was just perfect for me and my dogs over Christmas and New Year. While its absolutely off the beaten track its gets 10 out of 10 for those who want/need to get away from it all. You can take slow walks up the river or stay in the cottage and chill out next to the log fire. If your burnt out like I was upon arrival and need to gain some space, time out and relaxation this is the place to go for peace and tranquility. Points to remember - shop before you arrive as its a very long car ride to get supplies and read the very specific directions to get there.Gwili is charming, spacious, comfortable, well furnished and equipped with absolutely everything you could need for a self-catering holiday. It was a real honor to be the first guest and I was warmly welcomed with the most wonderful seasonal gift basket."

"The house was nice, but for the money we`ve paid, there are some things to criticize: most dishes were dirty, the oven was dirty and it seems that it wasn't cleaned for a long time. There were cobwebs at the Windows and ceilings. The tub wasn't very clean and the whole week was no one there to look after the water. It seems to us that the water wasn't cleaned or changed. The information, that you shouldn't use the toilet in the master bedroom would be fine. With this information we maybe wouldn't made the decision to book this house. In the master bedroom, the other bedroom near the second bathroom and in the second bathroom itself was a fecal odor the whole time from the beginning. In total, the pictures promise more than to hold."

"My wife and I (+ dog) were the first guests at this cottage. We should be the first of many as this was an great place to stay. The attention to detail was excellent and their were lots of lovely touches throughout the cottage. The owners were most welcoming and generously allowed us to meet their animals, including donkeys, ponies and alpacas. There is a meadow on the site, where the owners have mowed a figure of 8 path which is great for exercising a dog. The local area does not offer any notible aminities, so be prepared to drive some distance for shopping and eating out, (but the countryside is superb). We had a wonderful stay; a home from home indeed. We may well make further bookings for Hen Llaeth."

"We had a lovely time staying at Parlwr. The cottage itself is kept beautifully and is very clean and has lots of little touches to make it extra homely. We really appreciated the welcome pack and the treats that were left for our doggy companion. The cottage has the facilities to enable the guest to cook great meals and even had a private fenced garden, which is great to relax in and great for any dogs. The cottage is in a quiet location, but within driving distance to some beautiful beaches and walks. The animals that are on site are very charming and we really enjoyed meeting them! Thank you for having us to stay."
