What our customers say about their holidays

    • Estelle - Verified booking

Over all we had a fabulous time at the property.

Great communication from owners previous to travelling to the cottage and a lovely welcome pack on arrival, flowers, bubbles, milk and coffee. Even some doggie treats which were welcomed by our dog after the journey. Cottage was cosy, warm and inviting with a great garden for dogs. Fully enclosed and clean. Parking was no issue at all regarding other reviews we had read. We chose the cottage due to the proximity to the beach and local amenities and it was perfect. About 10 minute walk to a fabulous beach and a couple of minutes to the town. We found the beds to be extra comfortable and the surrounding area very quiet so had some wonderful sleeps. The cottage had everything you would need regarding plates, cutlery, tea towels and it has been the most fully stocked kitchen we have stayed at. Plenty of towels for our stay plus hot tub towels which were a bonus. Hot tub was perfectly fine, hot and bubbly. Sofa was very comfy/showers were great and no issue with water pressure or Wifi. Overall the cottage was clean and tidy however, attention to a few minor issues would make it a 5 star. The minor issues did not hamper our enjoyment of the stay. Upon inspection there seemed to be cobwebs on the kitchen ceiling within the windows, the toaster seemed broken on one side and one bin did not stay closed properly ( both of which I have made the owners aware after our stay, they did reply saying they had spares and would have happily replaced) and a knob required fixing in the bedroom. We have stayed in numerous properties over the years and always like to give feedback/ideas as to how to elevate customers stay even more. Suggested a shoe/wellie rack in the kitchen to keep shoes tidy and off the floor. Some hooks on the wall to hang doggie leads, bags etc to keep them off the floor and tidy. There are hooks in the living room but not great to trample through living room in wet/dirty clothes. A few comments were mentioned in the feedback book being a little confused by the recycling. It is listed in the Welcome Pack however it maybe a good idea to laminate the information to put on walls in the kitchen. Overall we had a lovely time and will back. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

When we arrived we were met y Mandy the owner, it was pointed out to us that the booking had slipped through the net as they wanted to book out our cottage to continue with restoration work.

This did not make us feel especially wanted. We suffered from a problem with the downstairs toilet which continued to flush until we took the lid of and fiddled with it. The bath water was never warm enough for a bath even after 3 times of trying. Then the heating went off, when we asked for it to be turned on again, and be aware the radiators were stone cold when we ask the male owner appeared and said the heating was on 24/7 strangely enough as he arrived the radiators started to warm (luke warm) up, strange that. He insisted the heating did not go off. However after that there was never a problem, strange again. The heating and water were controlled centrally from am app on his phone and this is the first time ever we have not had control of said heating personally. His excuse was that so many visitors believed they had the right to turn heating on and leave it on umm what am I paying my rental fee for. The weather was dismal and cold and we had to sit in a cold house after getting very damp walking our dog. So his bad experience meant we suffered. Now to the point that when we mentioned the toilet problem and the inability to run a hot bath he told us, "The water was on demand but would never cope with filling a bath, oh and yes those are things we know about and are getting fixed in the refit" it would have been useful to know that beforehand rather than suffer the frustration of having to repeatedly try.

Lovely stay, the property had everything you needed, spotlessly clean and was home away from home!

Cosy Lounge with a log fire & plenty of blankets to add to the cosy feel, the decor throughout the house adds so much character to it! We loved it. Bedrooms are cosy & beds very comfortable. Excellent garden space however we didn’t use it due to the rain but could image in the warmer months it would be lovely to use. The owners are so accommodating & such lovely people, we was welcomed with a bottle of milk in fridge, bits for a cup of tea, chocolate and a cold bottle of Prosecco much needed after a car journey. Hot tub was a hit with our 8 year old! No matter the weather she went in every night it was so warm & lovely to look up at the stars & relax. The hot tubs in a very private part of the outside great space for one. We are a family of 5, 2 little girls aged 1 & 8 with a furbaby too our frenchie. The property’s location is great, a local park just a 2 min walk for the children and a lovely big sport field to walk the dog around. Shops are a 5 min walk, with a local bakery and an amazing cafe called Caffi Lolfa! So worth a visit but best to book before going. Lighthouse & beach is around a 10/14min walk and the beaches are amazing! Lovely views our stay was in feb so didn’t spend too much time on beach. Overall we will definitely be back, hopefully with better weather this time. A massive thank you to the owners for our stay in their lovely house.

The property is spacious giving a sense of freedom of movement.

It was immaculate. I felt time had slipped back to a more serene era of genuine caring . If Dylan Thomas were alive he would choose this place for the sheer input of subject matter to share his pen and imagination. It felt like being transported to the days of James Herriot. Ponies donkeys Goats geese ducks peacocks meerkats raccoons monkeys and lamas. The hosts were so friendly in a.way felt like family. The area peaceful countryside Andrenia made me Welsh cakes delcious To sum up. I awoke from a dream and stepped right into another a time.capsule transported me from Highland to Welsh Country. My friends for the.week mostly had four legs some two with webbed.feet Horns and beaks. I felt like the pied piper being followed around south trust and a harmony of sound. The dawn chorus the cockrel made his presence known so .any years have passed but still I've not grown . The spirit young the batteries recharged an oasis in a.desert could not surpass the beuty of feeling we could raise a glass to a gifted gent and a bonnie lass. So fare thee a while as time goes past and seasons come and seasons go but two beautiful people put all their love into what they know to bring a little bit of heaven into creation serving lost souls a lovely vacation. Stayed here for a weekend at the end of November.

It was the weekend of Storm Arwen so we tested the heating system to it's limits - the wood burner was well used and gave us enough warmth! Easy check-in on arrival and the directions received worked perfectly. The premises are very well-designed making the most of all space available. Weather meant that using the patio and the outside barbecue wasn't an option but it looked nice (although the weather didn't stop us using the hot tub). Inside, a very well-equipped kitchen and the thoughtfulness of leaving a couple of welcome gifts was much appreciated as well. The hosts were great, living nearby but we only saw them when we asked for them on a small problem which was quickly fixed. The main bedroom was the most comfortable bed I have slept in away from home, possibly ever and both bathrooms were very clean and well-furnished. Close to the main centre of the town and the beach was only about 10 minutes walk away, a very pleasant weekend.
