"Everything! A firm like yours has to be there when something goes wrong and you simply couldn’t handle it. Your customer service is the worst I have ever encountered - in fact, you will be my example on future business seminars about customer experience and it won’t be flattering. There was only one day of the holiday that we were not in contact and that was the last day. It will all be in your records but a brief recap - day before travelling, called to ask if I could drop he bags earlier than the check in of 4pm (which is a scandal in itself) and was told no (turned out there was a shed that was perfectly adequate and would have enabled me to pick my family up from the airport (instead it was a £40 taxi); on day of arrival no cleaner turns up and I call at approx 3.30pm to be told that you can’t understand why (a few days later I’m told that you were already aware that the house would not be cleaned til 6!), in the end it was cleaned by 7pm - which given I had been up since 4am driving was let’s just say less than ideal! This lead to a fractious first day for he family and the need to eat out, which was not planned; next morning the shower blocked and we called and were later told that they would be out tmrw (not unreasonable as it was a Sunday) and we agreed to leave a key in the lock box. We got a message on our phone the next day to say we had to confirm the key was there before the handyman would call (even though we already had) and we called back - only to be told that the handyman was already on his way and it would be sorted. We got home at roughly 4.30 and nobody had called to fix it, so we called again and eventually the handyman came at about 6.30pm. The next evening, the dishwasher was blocked too and so I sent an email (as the lines were closed then) at about 10.25 (got an email reaponse from you at 10.26) asking for someone to call tmrw to fix. Next day we went out, left the key and returned in the late afternoon to find nobody had called, so rang again - was told someone would call but I explicitly asked for them to come tmrw instead so not to spoil our evening - of course the engineer then arrived at 7pm just as we were sitting down to eat! Spoke to Mark (Manager? At length and he stated he would look at significant compensation - heard nothing - have you ever heard of managing customers expectations!? We had several missed calls on Thursday - after I had contacted the owners to tell them to stop using you as agents - so we called and were told you were sending us a hamper (v nice of you); finally an engineer called on Friday to mend the dishwasher but couldn’t gain access as you had not told us you were coming and you had not thought of being bing a spare key! Other than that, you were great. I would not book a holiday through Sykes again if it was the last company on earth - you are a total shambles. My TripAdvisor feedback will absolutely reflect my horrific experience which totally spoiled our precious weeks family break. You simply have to learn some lessons from this or you will go out of business."

"We found it to be clean, bright, extremely comfortable and very dog friendly. The garden is superb for dogs and I'm sure excellent for sitting out in. We didn't really get the opportunity to sample it as we managed to pick the one week in June that was cool and virtually sun free. The cottage is well equipped with all the white goods that you could want and had really good technology - excellent fast broadband and Sky TV. The downside to the cottage, and one that shouldn't be underestimated, is its access and especially the parking. I had read the warning about the driveway and had researched it using Google maps street view and so had a good idea of what we were going to find. However, it was really extremely tricky to park a moderately large car on the driveway. The lane to the cottage is very narrow and steep and is lined by a cottage on one side and a wall on the other. There is no way I could have parked the car by myself. The car's sensors were screaming at me to abandon any attempt but these had to be ignored and I was reliant on my wife guiding me in with often just a couple of inches of clearance. The problems are exacerbated by the neighbours parking a Transit van at the bottom of the drive. This makes manouvering into the drive even harder. Alternative parking can sometimes be found in the village but there are only about five spaces. The approach to the cottage as described on the website omits the fact that there is a narrow, steep and often slippy path to reach the steps that are mentioned. We arrived with heavy bags and suitcases and found the effort required to be pretty exhausting. We are both retired and a younger couple would probably have managed easier. So would we go back - no chance. Loved the cottage and all its amenities and location but the access issues are just too much to consider it."

"S82600 is a lovely house, recently refurbished in a modern style but still cosy and welcoming. We stayed for a week in May and were able to enjoy both the front terrace, with its views over St Agnes town, and the rear garden where we sat around the huge firepit on the raised patio at night with a glass of wine. The three bedrooms are a good size with comfortable beds. The master bedroom is in the original loft space so has velux windows which allow you to look at the stars or have a private view over the town while sitting in bed! The kitchen is very well equipped with everything we needed and the large living area has lots of seating and is very bright due to the glazed exterior doors which lead onto the front terrace on one side and the rear garden on the other. In terms of location it's excellent. Within a couple of minutes walk is St Agnes town, including a couple of very nice pubs. A couple of small supermarkets are within 12-15 minutes gentle walk. The road down to the beach is also very close, so you could be on St Agnes beach within 20 minutes of leaving the house. And of course St Agnes is perfectly placed to explore the rest of the North Cornwall coast or, in less than an hour's drive, the south coast. Overall the house is perfect for a Cornish stay. A few tips: * You can drive down to St Agnes beach but the parking is quite costly. If you go in the town-run car park (just on the left opposite the toilets) it's £2 all day - but you need to get there reasonably early. * The Tap House is the closest pub, only a few minutes walk from the house, and does good food * Our favourite pub by far was the Miners Arms in Mithian, only around 10 minutes drive from the house - lovely old pub with lots of nooks & crannies, incredibly friendly and with a very good menu & lovely beer. We stopped in there nearly every day!"

"we enjoyed this cottage. it has enough space for our family of 5 (inc teens and young adults) and a golden retriever. the cottage was very clean and had most things we needed for a good stay. the Christmas hamper was fabulous and a nice touch. could have done with more seating in the lounge but we brought in a chair from the hall. bathrooms are modern and 3 toilets is always a bonus with teens!the pale carpets were a challenge to keep clean in a wet, muddy and windy week as our dog loves muddy puddles and racing through waves so we appreciated the outdoor tap and hose and we needed this every time we came in from a walk for cleaning dog and boots.Glad we brought lots of dog towels with us! the garden is not absolutely dog proof if you have a dog who jumps up on walls easily just to see what's on the other side! Our dog got out of the garden on the first day as there is a low wall at one end - no harm done as we supervise our dog at all times. Great to have a field behind the house for the early morning canine walks before breakfast.this house is a great location for both North and South coasts and as we enjoy going to both - the location was good."

"S57496 was perfect! The welcome basket on arrival was most welcome after a long drive & we were delighted to find such a well equipped, clean cottage, I think just about everything we needed had been provided. It suited our needs perfectly, not easy given our ages ranged from 15 to 75! Although the cottage is very rural, it is very central, we rarely had to drive more than 30 minutes to any of the fabulous places we visited. Jean and Duncan were very friendly and welcoming, they even posted some of my Dads clothes back to us when they discovered he had left them behind. The only minor criticism I have is that there is only seating for 5 in the lounge, although this was easily resolved by bringing in an extra arm chair from the hall. I would not hesitate in recommending this cottage to anyone"
