"First time in St Agnes and its a lovely village with great pubs and an active community feel. Good local shops (newsagents, butchers, greengrocers, a spar and a surf shop). The cottage is spacious, thoughtfully and tastefully decorated and really well equipped. Alison, the inspirational cottage owner, lives close by and is very knowledgeable about the area and an excellent, attentive host!!. Trevaunance beach is a short walk down a steep hill. The main shops and church are a short walk up a steep hill. Bike hire available and lots of local walks. The Coast path is close by and being Cornwall theres lots of palces to visit within an easy drive. Some of the scenery is straight out of Poldark, An excellent, well located cottage in a beautiful location. Very pleased to have stayed."

"A lovely stone cottage that is surprisingly larger than it looks in the photos. Very pretty garden and owner very helpful. One bedroom is further away than the other two which is useful if travelling with grandparents wanting a bit of space 😉 The two living rooms are attached to each other. Bathroom is beautiful espesailly the bath. Sofas could perhaps do with updating as a bit thread bare and old but they are shown in the photo so not a surprise and we certainly didn't mind them! The location is great as it's near the main road so took about half an hour to get to lots of key locations in Cornwall. We had a very pleasant stay and would return. The owners cat was a particular highlight for my 5 year old son as she was so very friendly. Thank you for having us!"

"Property was in a central location where we could travel to the various tourist sites. A very family orientated holiday park, albeit a little run down overall (note this was the holiday park and not the interior of the accommodation), however the swimming pool was excellent and the on-site shop was reasonably priced. We did not experience the on-site entertainment but other families did and seemed to enjoy themselves. Again a central location for a base to go an explore Cornwall and the surrounding area. Paradise Bird Park is a fantastic tourist spot to take the kid’s which lets you feed the birds (at specified times). Jo’s Bistro was one of the best meals that we have ever had, however it is advisable to book in advance. May 2012."

"Good location, clean and well equipped. The hot tub was an added bonus too! The only issue we had was regarding the parking. The property description said that there was off road parking for two cars and that the driveway was for our use. However the owner lives behind the property and is unable to get her vehicle out if there is a car on the driveway. Each morning we had to let the owner know if we where leaving a car on the drive and in the end she actually asked us if we could park one car in the town! We didn't really want to do this and there was a definite atmosphere after that. We feel like the parking issue really needs to be resolved or at least people need to be aware of the situation before they book the house."

"Poppyfields Stables is a lovely modern cottage with great facilities, including Netflix. I would definitely consider staying there if I were in Cornwall again. Both bedrooms are separate from the living area so it is possible for part of the group to be up and about while others slumber. The upstairs bedroom has a lovely balcony, facing the rising sun, with good shelter from any rain. There were only two of us so there was no problem with using the shower in the downstairs bathroom. It might be more of an issue if there were two couples sharing. It's very close to extensive facilities in Redruth and there are pubs around and about. You definitely need a car or very strong walking legs."
