"Wonderful place, wonderful hosts. Superbly appointed and very comfortable and welcoming. Baylis & Harding hand wash by every sink, tea towels provided as well as hand & bath towels. Guests need to bring nothing other than strictly personal necessities. Love the piano and the piano music provided. Everything was thought through to make one's stay enjoyable and relaxing. Best place I've ever stayed (and the cleanest!). Everything top of the range and looking as though straight from the showroom. Very dog-friendly, even down to treats, feeding station, throws and spare towels. Lovely welcome for human guests, too: delicious artisan bread made by Philip, very good wine, Cornish butter and milk. Thank you Philip and Joanne. (Lack of local facilities not a criticism - you don't book a remote location and expect Waitrose just down the road. Even so, the local Costcutter is very good, with a range of local produce, there is an excellent garage and an award-winning fish & chip bar, plus a superb Farmers' Market on Tuesdays.) Good facilities in Sennen Cove. Sadly, my car broke down on the way down, so I was unable to get out much during my first week while the local garage mended it (as quickly as they possibly could), but Philip and Joanne offered food parcels while I was marooned. Luckily, Penzance Sainsbury's deliver, so I did not need to take up their kind offer! What more can I say? It was perfect!"

"The bunker has been beautifully designed and set up. It has absolutely everything you could need from a holiday let and the quality of everything is excellent including the bed linen and towels. It’s a truly unique place to stay and it’s lovely to learn some of its history when you’re there. There is no issue at all about natural light because of the clever design but it can be very noisy when windy on the light tubes- although we thought this added to the atmosphere! There was a problem with the electricity supply on our arrival. The owners were quick to respond and to try and sort this for us but it meant that we had limited lighting and none at all in the bathrooms for 24 hours which made things difficult. No refund offer was forthcoming which surprised us. Location wise it’s beautiful wild Cornwall. Sennen Cove is a few minutes drive and there’s a great pub there for food too. To get to pubs and the small local shop you have to drive although you can walk a dog on the lanes/public footpath from the front door. It was a lovely chilled few days in a beautiful environment."

"We had a really great stay at Pen-Tewan. The weather wasn't great but that didn't stop us having a great time. The view on a good day was stunning. We loved having cows across the field and all that fresh air. The cottage is in excellent condition - not a scape on any walls-unlike home! The kitchen is so well appointed - even with Denby crockery - not a piece of Ikea in sight which made the whole place feel really high end. We did surfing at nearby Sennen beach and it was great to come back and have a hot bath afterwards. The heating warmed us up quickly which was great. On arrival there were home baked scones with jam and clotted cream and milk in the fridge. Such a lovely touch. They didn't last a day! The beds are comfortable and there is plenty of space for us and our two teen daughters. Another factor was the WIFI was great. I run my own business and had to check in each evening and having good wifi was brilliant - not to mention the kids could stay online too - peace for everyone! We will definitely be back to Pen-Tewan again. It was better than home from home."

"From the description offered we had expected the property to be on the beach side of the main road so felt disappointed that there was no safe way for our teenagers to make their way to the beach independently. It seemed that the pictures displayed gave an impression of length which was not there either in or outside of the house. The table in the kitchen struggled to seat 10 people around it. It seemed that the house was in need of refurbishment. The bathroom plug's opening system in the main bedroom, failed. The stair carpet was loose. one of the bedroom windows had a small hole in it which gave a draft. However we did not let any of these hiccup get in the way of us having a lovely holiday in a very distinctive and memorable location"

"The cottage exceeded expectations. Really clean and done to high standard, top brand appliances, beautiful modern electric fire. Beds very comfortable. Outside space is adequate (nice bench and space for bbq) and have a well trained dog, not enclosed though so we kept ours happy with regular walks down the coastal path. Handy for shops and you can see the sea from the end of the road, walk to beautiful sennen beach in 15 mins. Cornwall itself is not very dog friendly between May and Sep with most dog beaches being difficult to access with no facilities. Prussia cove ended up being our favourite (about 20mins drive) Gwenver is nice too but steep climb. Cottage well placed for attractions, well worth a visit."
