"The lodge is perfect for 2 people that like to go on walks and then chill in the evening . The nearest shop is a chocolate shop...perfect!!There are supermarkets 12 miles away in Aberystwyth. There us the local hotel in walking distance if you want to eat out. We prefer to take a packed lunch on our walks and cook for ourselves in the evening. I enquired with the owner about freezer space before we went as we didn't want to waste time shopping and preferred to take all our supplies with us..as there was only freezer space in the fridge the owner purchased a freezer and put it in the shed outside...she also purchased a gas bbq which was most welcome as we had glorious weather. The lodge is small but perfect..the bed is so comfortable..and it lifts to store baggage etc..there is no space for a wardrobe but there is a coat rail in the bedroom with enough coathangers to hang your clothes from. The outside space is private..there is a lovely planted garden..a patio with seating area and table and chairs..bird feeders which we kept topped up..and the icing on the cake..the hot tub..we went in every night and just laid star gazing. The caretaker comes daily to check it and is also available if you have any other problems. I cant fault this place at all we loved it..the owner is so accommodating too. Yes the lodge is small and it has normal size furniture which makes for a little less space when walking around inside..but hey..how much walking around are you going to do..there are large windows which give plenty of light and if like us you will spend most of your time outside anyway...it a 10 all round from me x"

"My friends and I absolutely *loved* staying at the Cow Shed. For a start the place is huge - much bigger than it looks in the pictures! It was also incredibly well equipped - we had more than enough places to sit, to eat around a table and to cook a full Christmas dinner. The wood-burning stove was lovely and we had it on most of the time we were in the cottage, so heating was never an issue! The area is fairly remote in terms of some of Wales' best known spots, but we still found some stunning walks and lovely towns very nearby for a great holiday. The only one, tiny tiny complaint we had is that the diagrams on the cooker had worn out, so it took us quite a lot of guess-work to figure out how to use the oven and the different hob rings. But when that's the worst you have to say about a place - you're doing very well! "

"Beautiful cottage in lovely countryside.Very secluded and garden completely secure for young children and dogs as it is gated off from front access. Although one bedroom downstairs is completely fitted for disabled , there is still a steep ramp up to front access of house which might cause some concern to wheelchair pushers !Beds were so comfortable...better than home, but the seating in the tv room was very uncomfortable and wouldn't seat more than four or five . Very well equipped , nothing needed at all and owners were very friendly and happy to help. If you do not like feather pillows you might want to take a pillow as all were feather which some of our party didn't like. On the whole a stunning cottage which we will be happy to visit again and thoroughly recommend. "

"Bryntrisant is a lovely little cottage and an ideal base for exploring mid-Wales. It is surrounded by farmland and when we stayed (end April) the fields were full of lambs.Pros: Cosy, real fire if you need it, well equipped kitchen, comfortable sofas, excellent shower, comfy bed, good size garden, great views, quiet locations.Cons: Bed needs a bigger duvet, not suitable for tall people - doorway out to hall/downstairs loo can't be more than 5.5 ft high and is quite deep (I hit my head three times) and low beams in the bedrooms, small fridge very low to the floor. There is also no DVD player which I hadn't spotted in the cottage details so had to buy a budget one from Tesco in Aber."

"This property was perfect for our 2 night short break. The rooms were spacious and so clean and tidy. It offered music, games and great entertaining space for us as we were a party of 8. The property exceeded all our expectations and we were thrilled to have booked such a well equipped and modern holiday cottage. The place is perfect if you want to get away from it all for a while. We didn’t venture out much so can’t comment on places to go for days out, but a car is a must as it is a rural location. Beautiful countryside, warm friendly owner and key holders and would definitely go again! Great value for money and loved every minute. Oct 2011. "
