"Our third year at Delford Cottage. It provides a very comfortable and convenient base from which to explore the area."
    Mrs Graham ‐ 1 Jun 2018
"Would be nice if the land at the back were a bit more accessible !Settee not very comfortable but the bed was. Very good shower! Milk &tea much appreciated ."
    Mr Moy ‐ 1 Jan 2018
"We arrived at the cottage to find dog hair all over the bed and a soiled toilet with faeces around the pan. We were travelling with our 2 month old son and it was our first family holiday so we felt it was was acceptable. We checked the website and it says dogs shouldn't be allowed on furniture or beds. The cottage wasn't cleaned properly to a acceptable standard so we decided to contact the owner immediately as we were there for a week. The owner didn't attempt to resolve the issue, come to the property despite saying he was only 10 minutes away or send anyone to clean the cottage. He said he was away for the weekend which was a poor response and said he could try and do something in the next couple of days. We had wash all the bed sheets ourselves, clean the toilet and hoover the property to get rid of the animal hair. Something we shouldn't have to do on arrival. After sourcing washing powder locally, washing, drying and cleaning we finally went to bed at 3am in a clean bed. The owner didn't follow up with us at all which is poor communication and customer service. I contacted him again to say we had to clean the property and we weren't too happy. He said we would offer a refund but is now ignoring my attempts to contact him. This was my first experience with and its really wasn't a good impression by the owner and I wouldn't recommend this service to other people. I did contact directly who offered £20 to cover the costs of washing powder and petrol but I think the owner should compensate us for a poor service levels. I took pictures of the amount of animal hair on the bed and dirty toilet as we felt it wasn't good enough standard. I would appreciate someone getting back to me regarding this issue and our first experience with your company. Many thanks for your time and consideration"

"Great location and cottage very comfortable stay. Only gripe more efficant internet but that’s all, very good"
    - sueDerbyshire, September 2015
"We had a lovely stay at Delfod Cottage, the weather was sunny and warm for September, so sitting in the garden sipping wine and looking at the lovely views of Snowden and Portmerion was a bonus. The cottage has everything you need and is warm and cosy, it is situated in an ideal position to visit the nearby beaches, towns and of course Snowdonia. We would thoroughly recommend this cottage."
    - Mrs Nightscales, June 2017
"just wish the weather was better, and no one can do anything about that"
    - Mrs Thompson, June 2017
"We had a very lovely holiday cottage very clean and comfortable bed and shower were lovely to would go again."
    - Mr Sellers, May 2017
"Had a lovely time in a delightful cottage, with great weather ... first time in Wales for c. 25 years, we won't be leaving it so long before we return."
    - Mr Tapping, March 2017
"the cottage is in a wonderful location with beautiful views of the sea and mountains. we only went out in the car twice whilst staying as there were so many beautiful walks to do from the cottage. Harlec was very friendly."
    - Dr Mcmanus, March 2017
"Everything was lovely, however the sofa was not very comfy."
    - Mr Bayley, August 2016
"The cottage if anything is understated in it's description in that it is very spacious and comfortable for two people. The location is very convenient' particularly with the ample car parking opposite the cottage. It was extremely clean and well appointed and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it or visit again."
    - Ms Mabley, August 2016
"A lovely clean and comfortable cottage with an unusual, pretty garden with amazing views. The stunning beach is a 20 minute walk away (steep hill on the way back) and the amenities of the town are just a few minutes walk from the cottage. There are many walks from the door with breathtaking views of the mountains and coastline."
    - SteveChelle, April 2015
"The cottage was extremely comfortable and very well furnished. The finishing of the décor and refurbishment of the cottage has been completed to a very high standard mixing the old cottage feel with a modern touch. Great location for getting out into the Snowdonian National Park, either south to Barmouth or north to Beddgelert, Betws-Y-Coed and of course the main attraction Snowdon itself. Be sure to visit other local villages - Llanfair, Talsarnau & Maentwrog as lovely pubs and walks. Would totally recommend this as a holiday retreat. We really didn't want to come home ! Whilst Harlech is a great village & the community are very welcoming and the beach is absolutely stunning the village itself could do with some TLC as looking a bit tired in places. Be sure to visit the Lion Hotel. Also a small point with respect to the cottage as we had a dog it could do with a fence in the garden out onto the road just to provide that extra bit of safety and hopefully WIFI is coming soon as the network isn't great. This wouldn't put us off going back at all"
    - Jeanniebooo, August 2014
"We got married on the Monday in Wales and this was a lovely little place to honeymoon . The local people were friendly and the Lion Hotel put on free food and drink for us when we went in after we got married, we felt honoured to be treated like a part of the community. We will be going back next year to celebrate our 1st anniversary. The gardens are quirky and private and the wildlife lovely, the beach is fantastic , in fact Harlech is gorgeous .... One last thing your find it hard to get up in the mornings because the bed is so comfy we slept like babies...."
    - Arapaho94, January 2014
"A delightful 1-bed cottage only a few minutes' gentle stroll into Harlech centre. Facilities are excellent and the cottage has clearly had a very recent and sympathetic makeover. The kitchen is as light and airy as the lounge is cosy. The only two very minor drawbacks are the lack of a 2nd door (or maybe just a heavy curtain) at the front door which generates a small cold spot; and the house fronts directly onto the main road into town (but traffic is occasional, not continuous - at this time of year at any rate!). I would definitely stay here again."
    - A FlipKey verified reviewer, October 2013
"wonderful cottage exceeds expectation's and is in a lovely location, the view over the bay and Snowdon range are excellent and the higher you go in the tiered garden the get better they get, the middle garden has a BBQ area and you can enjoy the views while dinning in the sun, Harlech was joy to explore, there was plenty of information on different areas of interest for all to visit, we would highly recommend this cottage and we will be booking it again."
    - Ron S, July 2013
"This cottage was everything we hoped for. Well-equipped kitchen, comfortable living room, stylish shower room/loo, and a bedroom with the largest and most comfortable bed in the world! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We didn't get a chance to try out the wood-burning stove as the temperature hardly dipped below 20C even at night. The garden rises up the steep hillside behind the cottage - it's on levels accessed by flights of steps - the views get better the high you go, but it's not for the infirm. Ample parking across the road. For those to whom it matters (and it shouldn't really as you're on holiday), mobile signal (on O2 at least) is limited. The selection of Freeview channels in this part of Wales is also restricted but there is always the DVD player as an alternative - or you can go to the pub. Harlech town centre is about a 10 minute walk away and is a delightful place. Do go into the Tourist Information Office. They can suggest lots of things to do and help you make the most of your visit."

"We stayed here out of season for a relaxing week - it was perfect. The cottage is a gem; whilst retaining all its charm it benefits from being fully refurbished and as a fabulous bathroom, modern kitchen, spacious lounge with log burner (keep the air flue open!!), and lovely bedroom with king size bed from which you can see the sea in the distance . Bliss. The bonus was that we were allowed to take out golden retriever, Molly who was welcomed in many local hostelries and caves! Brilliant We loved the area and spent many happy hours walking on the deserted beaches. Portmeirion was beautiful, and the coastal towns a joy to visit. The town of Harlech was a few minutes walk up the lane and we ate in the village three times. All very casual, but a lovely chill down break."

"This is a lovely cottage. It was well presented with a cosy living room and well appointed kitchen. The bathroom was great and the bed was really comfy with lovely views of the valley. We were really pleased we had booked it , it made our holiday. It was a few minutes walk from Harlech ..very friendly people and delicious ice cream place. Also close to Portmeiron and the Blaenau Ffestiniog Railway , both well worth a visit. We were also really lucky with the weather- baking hot for a few days ...but then back to rain! Still wouldn't be as green without the rain!"
    Mr Aggett
"Lovely cottage lovely area very comfortably and well equipped and clean every thing you want for a holiday cottage"

"What a beautiful house!! Absolutely perfect for us - a couple and our labrador. Clean throughout. Very user friendly. We had a great week there. The steps up to the seating area are no joke so make sure you take all you want up with you the first time where possible!!! This house had everything we wanted for a week away. The front door opens directly onto the main road so you need to use the kitchen/patio doors to let your dog out for the loo. It's secure in that they can't get to the road but ours is very fast and nosey so can get to neighboring gardens with ease! Thankfully we had a long lead so kept her on that and we were worry free. 7 or 8 min casual walk to the centre. Lots of nice coffee shops and harlech castle all at the top of town. The open pubs are sadly at the bottom of the hill!! As is the beach and train station so we got used to the 'hike' home. Lovely house in a beautiful town. Perfect for our week away. We went up snowden the one day using the snowden ranger trail and that was about 30-40 min drive away."
    Miss Clare Wright, Stockport,
"Delfod Cottage was a lovely place to stay and was very comfortable. It was a great base to venture out from. The home made Welsh cakes were a lovely welcome gift."
Ms Caroline Roden, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire
"Delford Cottage was warm and cosy with an extra large comfortable bed in a quiet location with stunning views. "
    Mr Adrian Welbourn, Preston, Lancashire
"This is a great little cottage in an excellent location, a short drive from the centre of Harlech, with views of Snowdon in the distance from the terraced garden."
    Mrs Pam Spanton, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire
"Lovely cottage, in the centre of Harlech, 5 minutes walk to local pub. Nice quiet location."
    Mrs Emma Gorrell, Warrington, Cheshire
"The cottage was wonderful, it had everything we needed - outdoor space, amazing views, well equipped kitchen, good location and a comfy bed! We couldn't ask for more. We really enjoyed our stay and would like to go back again."
Mr Mark Shawcross, Manchester, Greater Manchester
"We got married last year in Wales and spent our honeymoon in this lovely cottage, this year we celebrated our 1st Anniversary here too. We love it here and we find Harlech very chilled out and relaxing and the beach is amazing."
    Mr Mark Owen, Blackpool, Lancashire
"An outstanding cottage, in a lovely position. The reason why we book through ."
    Mr Denis Foy, Liverpool, Merseyside
"The cottage appears newly renovated, everything was in tiptop condition. The Super king size bed was very comfortable and the cottage was warm and inviting. The main street in Harlech started about 300 yards from the front door. The road outside the cottage was quite quiet, and the dedicated parking space just across the road was very handy."
Mr Derek Gittings, Brierley Hill, West Midlands
"Delfod Cottage was in a very convenient location close to shops and castle. The accommodation was cosy and the garden was interesting. There was easy parking at the property. Altogether we enjoyed a pleasant week."
    Mr Steven Clark, Epsom,
""The cottage was extremely comfortable and very well furnished. The décor of the cottage had been completed to a very high standard mixing the old cottage feel with a modern touch. Great location for getting out into the Snowdonian National Park; either south to Barmouth or north to Beddgelert, Betws-Y-Coed and of course Snowdon itself. Would totally recommend this as a holiday retreat." "

"Absolutely fantastic cottage. Cosy and very warm and welcoming! Massive bed to get lost in and a lovely size bathroom! Easy to clean as hard floor throughout and parking was excellent too. Sitting areas to the rear to of property should be lush in the summer. Spectacular views of Snowdon, must be amazing in the summer too."
    Miss Joanna Davies, Liverpool, Merseyside
"We absolutely adored this beautiful cottage. Everything was truly perfect, with lots of little touches. We were bowled over by the beauty of the place and the warm welcome and friendly conversations I had with the owner were also a welcome delight. Oh, and our doggies loved it too!"
    Mrs Karen Archer, Northampton, Northamptonshire
"A wonderful cottage which was nice and warm on arrival (December visit) will definitely be returning. Well presented, very clean and comfortable."
    Mrs Louise Moxham, Nottingham, Leicestershire
"Delfod cottage is set in an ideal location for exploring this part of North Wales. A short walk to the town of Harlech itself and a pleasant walk down to the beach. Views from the garden were stunning, with a glimpse of Portmeirion in the distance. The wood-burning stove, though not needed for its heat (as the cottage was beautifully warm), was a welcome addition. Parking was excellent and overall we were delighted by the cottage. We had a lovely holiday in Delfod and we will certainly recommend it and hopefully return in the future."
    Miss Sarah Summers, Shrewsbury, Shropshire
"Lovely property, perfect for 2 people and a dog and within easy walking distance of Harlech. Amazing walks on the doorstep either into the hills behind the town or along the coast. The cottage is extremely well heated and cosy, would recommend to anyone."
Mrs Jeannie Hughes, Manchester, Greater Manchester
"Loved the peacefulness and tranquillity of the gardens which were quirky and very private. The Cottage is based only a short walk to the shops, pub and beach. A beautiful clean beach with stunning sunsets."
