"magical location . away from the trappings of modern life . take a leap and fill your sails with the wind that comes down from the welsh hills . you couldn't ask for a warmer welcome of the hosts and when the clouds clear the sunset is breath taking ."

"Cottage is in stunning location with beautiful views. The cottage could definitely do with some tlc, especially the bathroom ( the shower was held up with string). Owners requested an extra £30 for cleaning unless you were prepared to clean the cottage yourself, this was made difficult by a lack of cleaning equipment. This extra was not mentioned when booking or on arrival but by a notice inside a cupboard door. We had a lovely holiday as in a beautiful area but would not return to this cottage."

"Mould in the bathroom, no 'plunger' to change to shower from bath taps, just the screw thread. Shower head tied in position with string. Kitchen utensils dirty, bedroom door would not close. Only one electric socket in each bedroom, and no shaver point. A notice inside one of the kitchen cupboards saying that cleaning is not included in the cost of the cottage and if we were not prepared to do it ourselves we must book a cleaner at a minimum cost of £30. This was discussed with them and just a hoover round was agreed on - but we found the tone of the notice very upsetting."

"A great cottage in a beautiful location. Fantastic for walks and cycle rides from the door. The car hardly moved all week! Friendly and helpful owners. We hope to visit again one day."

"Really great to be able to walk straight from the door up onto the hills. Lots of walks available. Wonderful views down the valley. Only 15 minutes from the main road, with great local beaches, good for the kids. Good local shops and pub on the main road. July 2011."

"The property is very remote, the cottage is approached on a moorland road & the last mile or so maybe a 4 x4 would have been more appropriate, but the quiet and peacefullness was lovely, not for everyone though, perhaps location is out of the way for people who want more to do. Roughly 5 miles away from shops pub etc. The owners made my husband & I very welcome, helpful with knowledge of the area, and even gave us maps. The scenery however is breathtaking, our very own mountain right on our doorstep. The wildlife birds etc were exceptional any twitcher would love it! Sept 2009."

"In a well secluded hilltop location, beautiful for walks, nature exploration. Aug 2009."

"The stable cottage was in the most beautiful setting, we were surrounded by rolling hills and had a beautiful view of the sea. We have young children and even though the weather on 2 days wasn’t very good, we still went walking in the hills and went to a secluded waterfall and built dams, it was so much fun we ended up going back on 2 further occasions as the kids loved it so much. The property was also well placed for getting around we were only 7-9 miles from Portmerion and Porthmadog, and only 5 miles from a beautiful beach. The local pub was very child friendly with great meals and a big play area outside. The Cottage for us was a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of daily life, you could actually hear yourself think. We would recommend this cottage to all. July 2008."

"The cottage is located in a stunning glaciated valley in mid-Wales near Harlech, with spectacular mountain views and walks. You will not match it anywhere else in the UK. The location provides the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. You do not know the true meaning of the word "peace" until you stay in this accommodation, which was comfortable and welcoming. April 2008."
