    Benllech Holiday Cottages

Benllech is a popular tourist town on the Welsh Isle of Anglesey. Crystal clear waters and a stunning beach with fine, golden sand make this a fabulous destination. At low tide, visitors can enjoy walking along miles of beach, with both the Anglesey Coastal Path and the Wales Coastal Path at hand. In town, you will also find a great range of cafés and restaurants for much-needed refreshments after enjoying a fun day the beach.

All our Welsh cottages are hand-picked for charm and character. We have romantic cabins with private hot tubs for secluded getaways, or stunning barn conversions for big groups. Families love our open-plan farmhouses, with plenty of room for kids. Or if you want to take your dogs on holiday, we have great dog-friendly cottages with secure gardens, all situated near great walking routes.

At Snaptrip, we list thousands of holiday cottages across the UK, all protected by our best price guarantee. We also have search filters and our friendly customer service team is on hand to help you find your ideal cottage - whether that's right on Benllech beach for a week of windsurfing, or a more secluded property.

What our customers say about their holidays

    • James - Verified booking

Recommend the location, however the property needs some improvements and we had some issues with rubbish collection.

This was our first trip to Anglesey as a young family and we would highly recommend it as a location for a varied holiday – loads to do with great beaches and plenty of places to visit both on the island and the mainland. We’ve stayed in lots of holiday lets previously and our impression was, at this price point, the place could do with some improvements and general maintenance. Generally, the kitchen is a bit tired and needs some better kit. Garden very overgrown and needs some TLC. Lots of chipped mugs etc. These are pretty minor quibbles but the two main issues we weren’t happy with were around rubbish and responsiveness to previous feedback from guests. Rubbish. When we arrived, all 4 wheelie bins were full of rubbish already. Instructions in the property said to use a red bin, however there wasn’t one. We rang the agency who said they would check and get back to us about what to do – they didn’t call us back. The upshot was all the previous guests rubbish (plus ours) was still at the priority after we left after 11 nights. We had to take some of our rubbish elsewhere ourselves. What was most disappointing was this same issue had been raised by a previous guest – it was noted in the guest book and a previous review. Responsiveness to feedback. We found that the large, heavy main dining room table had a broken leg. A former guest had noted this about a year ago, so it seems that nothing had been done to repair. We thought that was disappointing and wondered whether they had not read the feedback, or read it but not done anything about it. Will definitely be back to Anglesey but wouldn’t stay here again unless some improvements were made to the property and would hope for better responsive to issues/queries.

Second visit, love location and very peaceful.

Living room and bedrooms all good . Kitchen definitely in need of TLC , sink area smells very damp. Worktops need replacing or re-covering, cupboards need replacing or a new coat of paint. Freezer difficult to open the drawers. Bathroom needs hooks or somewhere to put belongings when going for a shower, plus toilet roll holders in both bathrooms. Games room didn't look like it had been cleaned properly for a while, there was a lot of sweet wrappers stuffed down the side of one of the cushions and a very sticky sweet stuck to the cushion, it was very dusty in that room. Outside needs some garden chairs for on the patio area outside the back door. When we arrived there were black rubbish bags piled on the bins. In the handbook it says there is a red bin and all rubbish goes in there. There was no red bin ! I rang the letting office about the rubbish situation and the lady said she'd find out about it and ring me back. She didn't! The black bags were constantly being ripped open by magpies and seagulls, not a good look when you turn onto the drive, we were constantly picking it up, but had nowhere to dispose of our rubbish, or the rubbish already there. In saying all this, still loved our stay there, didn't have the best weather but still really enjoyed it!

We found the property pretty much as described, private and comfortable.

The standard of the furniture, white goods and kitchen utensils/china was excellent and the property, including the hot tub, was clean. One thing that would have been helpful, though, would have been some shelving in the shower room to better hold toiletries rather than the floor mounted boxes. There was no information provided in the property on local amenities. The gentleman who owned the property did come to the cottage on the afternoon we arrived and spent some time telling us about local restaurants and drives around the island, but information provided in this way can be more difficult to take on board. What would have been more useful would to have been to provide a pack of information, which we’ve always found useful when we’ve stayed in other Sykes properties. About four days into our stay, we came across user manuals for the microwave, dishwasher, tv etc. in one of the kitchen drawers (although the info tor the microwave was for a different model). In summary, the property very much ‘did what it said on the tin’ but there was lot of information provided on what we could not to do, but nothing on what we could do. This did not, though, prevent us spending a wonderful week in a beautiful part of the country.

Clean, comfortable, spacious and very well appointed cottage with the added benefit of a hot tub and good parking.

Ian and Hilary were very welcoming and close at hand if needed but otherwise their nearby presence was very discreet. Excellent location to use as a base for exploring Anglesey by car or walking to Red Wharf Bay cross country starting on a footpath that you pick up right behind the property - just walk to the bottom of the garden, turn right and straight after the large gate there is a style (somewhat overgrown!) on the left. You can then follow various footpaths and quiet country lanes to Red Wharf Bay using such as footpathmap.co.uk. My wife and I were there in peak summer holiday season so some of the car parks in the surrounding towns and villages were a bit too busy, but there is a very large seafront car park at Cemaes Bay, which is certainly worth a visit. Also there is copious parking at Amlwch where you can easily pick up the coastal path. We enjoyed a walk along that to Bull Bay, stopping off en route at the Trecastell Hotel for an excellent Sunday carvery, which is highly recommended. All in all we had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay and are very happy to recommend Glasinfryn Cottage for couples looking to spend a relaxing time on Anglesey.

Lovely cottage in a great location.

We were a party of 9 plus two dogs and there was plenty of room for us. Kitchen has all the equipment you would ever need. The conservatory/dining room was great for meals & playing games in the evening and the bedrooms all have comfortable feather duvets and pillows. The garden was really beautiful with sea views. Nice to watch the birds and hear the woodpecker drumming the tree every morning. During the summer months it would be nice to sit out and relax but a bit cold and wet during our stay. Our two dogs loved it! Just three points I would like to make though - 1. The bedrooms are a lot smaller than in the photos and you have to shuffle round bottom of bed 2. The “games room” is just a pool/air hockey table and dart board in a dirty dusty garage - this could be a fantastic space it just needs some TLC 3. When cooking a meal we found the grill pan full of fat from the previous holiday maker which is really off putting and presumably the cleaning team had overlooked We would definitely recommend this cottage and we all really enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again in the future Wendy & Family
