      A wonderful family (Granny, Grandad, son & daughter-in-law, daughter & son-in-law, 3 granddaughters and Charlie the Labrador) holiday at Higher Kernick Farm.

      The house is amazing with everything we needed. Having en suite bath/shower rooms was excellent and the additional downstairs toilet a bonus. The garden was really good, a real sun trap and great for sitting outside in the evenings. Charlie was in dog heaven with so many new smells and places to explore and it was good to know the garden was well secured. Great BBQ and the views spectacular. Bryan, the owner, was very helpful before and during our stay and it was nice to meet him. We would definitely return and, I think, our best holiday with so many places to visit within easy reach (Clovelly, Lydford Gorge and Dartmeet in Devon our favourites) and our older granddaughters were happy with just a 30 minute drive to Trebarwith Strand and they were very lucky to have low tide. The nearby Cornwall at War Museum is well worth a visit as is the Tre, Pol & Pen Farm Shop and don’t miss the Launceston Steam Railway. This is our 3rd holiday with Sykes Cottages and cannot fault them.

      We were extremely satisfied with this property which fulfilled all our needs.

      It was in country location with no neighbours apart from rabbits! The property is spacious and was very clean and tidy when we arrived. The owner was very helpful and met us there and also left some welcoming goodies and fresh flowers which is always a good start to a holiday. The garden is jof a good size and an easy and natural space to sit out in to relax. Our bedroom was large with a wonderful view through the wide window which opened onto a balcony overlooking the open farmland surrounding the property. The lounge is equally of a good size and double aspect, the west facing large window being ideal to watch the sunsets go down. We had our eyes fixed on visiting RHS Rosemoor for the first time (it was magnificent and so we visited twice!) and chose this property as it makes much of Devon and Cornwall accesible within a 45-60 minute drive. We are extremely satisfied with the property in all respects.

      What a place!

      We absolutely loved our stay at Domzary Pool, and will definitely be back. The location is amazing - so peaceful, with only one neighbour - and many cows! The barn was spotless when we arrived with really nice fittings, and was definitely very comparable to ‘5 tick’ cottages we’ve stayed at. The only points for improvement would be - a coffee machine would be an amazing addition and the curtains were not lined so lots of early wake ups from the children as the sun streamed through. But overall a truly excellent property, would recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful location, whilst being easily accessible for great walks and beaches. We took the owners recommendation and visited Daymer Bay beach and it was great, beautiful sand and interesting rock pools. Can’t wait to return.

      The holiday accommodation at North Coombe Farm is top class in all regards. In addition to its superb location (a great base from which to explore most of Cornwall and Devon) the property is light, spacious, well decorated, clean, warm, comfortable and welcoming. We would particularly commend the kitchen and its equipment. All the windows overlook the superb garden that sweeps down over the lawn to the stream and pond. The owner, Diana, is close by to offer assistance, but is never intrusive (by the way, her Lemon Cake is top notch as well). Even the good natured farm dogs occasionally chip in with a little good natured entertainment !! Overall, North Coomb Farm is highly recommended; we will definitely return.

      We had a wonderful holiday at North Coombe Farm. John & Diana are welcoming & helpful but not intrusive. The house is clean, comfortable & very well equipped. We appreciated the care that has gone into all the little extras & decorative touches. The garden is beautiful, I could have spent the whole week sitting on the terrace watching the many bird species which visited the bird tables. However the location is good for getting to both the North and South coasts & many other places of interest. I only marked it down because of the very narrow lanes for access, but that's Cornwall for you. We would heartily recommend this holiday home.
