Hele Stone Cottage in Cornwall is consistently praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and thoughtful touches, including provisions for dogs. The quaint village setting offers a peaceful retreat with easy access to local attractions. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities and the cottage's cosy charm, making it a highly recommended base for exploring the region.
The cottage receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews mentioning it being 'very clean' and 'well stocked'. There was a single mention of a 'slightly grubby cutlery tray' and 'black tile mould', but these seem to be isolated comments within a sea of positive feedback.
The location is frequently described as peaceful, with easy access to the A30 and local attractions. The village is noted as friendly and delightful, although one review mentioned the need for a car for evening dining out. Overall, the location is seen as ideal for exploring Cornwall.
Comfort is a strong point for the cottage, with guests finding the beds 'super comfortable' and the cottage 'cosy'. The presence of a log burner adds to the comfort, especially during colder weather. The overall impression is of a comfortable and relaxing stay.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen, washing machine, and garden. However, there are comments about a 'rattly microwave' and a need for hotter water, suggesting some areas could benefit from maintenance or upgrades.
The cottage is celebrated for thoughtful touches like dog treats, bowls, and a log burner. While these gifts are warmly received, it's important to note that such amenities, while indicative of the owner's consideration, may not be guaranteed for every stay.
