A lovely 17 century cottage restored to a high standard in picturesque Castleton village with the wonderful Peak District all around.
Located in Castleton, one of the most beautifully situated villages in the White Peak, this is an attractive cottage which is perfect for friends or families to enjoy while exploring the many delights of the Peak District National Park. Built in the 17th century, Llamedos has been highly restored but has still managed to retain many original features inside. Cosy up on the sofa in front of the fire in the original beamed lounge or take your favourite tipple out onto the patio and enjoy the evening sunset.
A short walk into the village and you will find a beautiful church and green and many local country shops to purchase souvenirs of your holiday. You can also visit the famous ‘Blue John’ caverns stretching up the valley side before fortifying yourself in one of the numerous cafes, tea rooms and pubs available.
Exploring further afield, simply hop in the car and after a few minutes drive, you could be visiting some of the Peak's many other attractions. Take a ride on a steam train or cable car in Matlock, have a famous pudding in Bakewell or soak up history at the famous Chatsworth House.

Over the years I have stayed in many cottages in Castleton. Most of them have been very good but Llamedos cottage was absolutely excellent. Will book again.

I have always found staff friendly and helpful so the booking process has been easy. This was my 4th visit to this property. I cannot fault anything about it. The property was very clean and well maintained. The location, in Castleton was excellent with many different walks from the door. The added bonus of parking on site meant that I hardly took the car out.

Because overall l was very pleased with the property and the holiday. It's been the ninth time I've stayed there.
