Lace up your walking boots and follow public paths into the countryside to escape the hustle and bustle, whilst the trendy village of Hathersage is a short journey away; over the years, the village has enticed the likes of Charlotte Brontë, whose novel, Jane Eyre is thought to have been inspired by her visit to Hathersage. Idyllic villages are also scattered around the National Park; stop for lunch in Castleton to admire the ruins of Peveril Castle, built by Henry II in 1176, and guided tours of Peak Cavern, whilst Curbar is home to striking rock climbs for panoramic views and the welcoming tavern, The Bridge Inn. Choose Charlotte's Cottage for a memorable escape to the country!
