    Aptly named S81815 is a substantial, detached holiday property which faces directly out to sea, with stunning views across to the Farne Islands. Two of the double bedrooms and a shower room are on the ground floor, where there is also a utility room leading to a lovely sun room, which overlooks the large enclosed garden. Enjoy dining al fresco whilst watching the children and pets play. The spacious living/dining room runs the full length of the house, and is located on the first floor to maximise the amazing sea views over golden sands and towards Bamburgh Castle from the full height windows. The kitchen, additional bathroom and master bedroom, also with large windows, are on the first floor.

    S81815 is located at St Aidan on the fringe of the traditional fishing village of Seahouses, where there are tea rooms, restaurants, pubs and shops, all within a short walk. Take a trip to the Farne Islands and see the nesting seabirds and grey seal colonies. The picture postcard village of Bamburgh, protected by its dramatic fortress, is 2 miles north, with its wide golden sandy beach where the tidal island of Lindisfarne can be viewed. Steeped in history, Waren Mill is a further 2 miles up the coast. Once an important port, its harbour has long since disappeared, silted up beneath the sands of the estuary. The bird sanctuary at Budle Bay has a vast expanse of mud flats at low tide, which is home to thousands of sea and land birds, perfect for keen birdwatchers. The market town of Alnwick, with its castle and many facilities, is a few miles inland. Alnwick Garden, with its Grand Cascade waterfall and restaurant within the largest treehouse in Europe, is within easy reach and a popular attraction. Horse riding is available nearby and there is an impressive golf course on the links close by. S81815 offers an idyllic coastal retreat for families and friends looking to explore the Heritage Coast, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Beach 50 yards.     "A beautiful place to stay with fabulous views of the Farne Islands. Spacious and comfortable inside but somewhat lacking in kitchen gadgets/ utensils. It was fine for our group as we mainly ate out but could be a problem for a family who decide to cook most of the time."

    "Just spent a week in S81815 and we were more than happy with our accommodation. The photographs on the website do not do it justice. It is much bigger than we expected, and all the furnishings are of excellent quality. We had read previous reviews and from what we could tell, almost all of the negative comments had been put right ie. mirrors,pictures,cooking utensils. The house is in the most perfect spot and the views from the front windows are amazing. We were lucky enough to watch Dolphins swimming on a couple of occasions, and witnessed some beautiful sunsets. I would highly recommend this house, and would love to return."

    "Great property in a great location, local area has everything you need for a week away, with good walks from the door. Lovely walk along the beach to Bamburgh, which is a little gem of a place. Good varied places to eat in both Seahouses and Bamburgh.Would be good to have mirrors in the bedrooms and the upstairs bathroom, also a little surprised there is no "visitors book" for people to leave comments and recommendations.Would definitely stay again."

    "S81815 is in a fantastic location with all the local amenities nearby. We highly appreciate the owners deferring our holiday due to the problems experienced by "The Beast from the East" in March 2018!The cottage is well appointed but we did have a couple of problems during our stay. Firstly, we could not access the lounge upon arrival. This was due to the spindle in the door handle being disengaged causing the handle to spin freely. Luckily my husband is a joiner and was able to unscrew the door plate and fix the spindle in place - not a very good start to our holiday!Secondly, the step out to the patio is rather dangerous in that there is no clear edging with the step being the same pattern as the patio area - I had a bad fall, without serious injury, but it could have been worse for an elderly person or child. This area needs addressing for health and safety reasons.Lastly, on the day of our departure we noticed the radiator in the master bedroom had been leaking for some considerable time (possibly months?). However, despite these issues, we had a wonderful time in Seaview Cottage and would recommend it!P.S. Some mirrors in the bathrooms/bedrooms would be useful!"

    "Fantastic location and well designed spacious house. Warm and light in wintery weather. 50 yds to beach so great to bring cold little ones back and get them warm quickly. Would like switch to turn off drive lights so you can enjoy the dark skies from the living room window, and to assist sleep in the front bedrooms. Bath takes forever to fill. Showers both great. Could do with supply of baking trays, big saucepans etc for family cateringWe've already booked the same dates for this year!"
