"Lovely cottage, very clean & well looked after. Only down fall for us we like to go out for evening meal & drinks but meant one of us had to drive!! Usually if this is the case we will eat in several nights, so we can have a drink but we found the Kitchen very tiny & the oven was not big enough to cook a meal in (Unit top one). The views from the cottage were lovely & is in a quite area. Plenty to do in the local area central for visiting different places. I found the bed uncomfortable & creaked a lot so lost a lot of Sleep!! But my husband snored on oblivious!!. But I certainly wouldn't rule out going again."

"Lovely clean cottage with all the essentials for a couple to enjoy the peace and quite, with beautiful views over Hexham and countryside. The local, friendly owners warmly welcomed us and ensured the accommodation met our expectations, whilst giving us the privacy to enjoy our holiday. We will definitely look forwards to return to Gin Gang on future visits to the Hexham area."

"Good location just a little far from town up a very steep hill. Kitchen was a little compact, not much work space.Great place for a short break, excellent walks nearby."

"The Gin Gang was situated perfectly for exploring the lovely area. The building looked fabulous but was very difficult to get into with a step up of over 12 inches.Once inside, again it looked lovely but turned out to be extremely impractical. The table top cooker had two hot plates just inches below a cupboard above not allowing the lid to go on the only saucepan. The kitchen towel had a large hole in it and I wouldn't have left it in the cottage if I was the owner. The furniture layout meant you couldn't watch television without getting a crick in the neck. It needed a lot more thought for comfort and practical useage. The bedroom was beautiful after going up three steps but due to furniture choice there was only a gap of about 10 to 12 inches to get between the bed and a wardrobe to access the bathroom.Outside there was a table and seating but was in a poor condition to make a good impression. For us it was very disappointing for the money. We are very sorry to have to give this type of feed back. We are not people to find fault but it is such that we could n't recommend it to others."

"A really lovely little cottage. Very spacious and adequate for two people. Everything you need for a quiet getaway. The location was perfect,as it was far enough out of town to be in the countryside but within walking distance of the town centre."
