District, whilst still retaining its integrity as a local town that certainly punches well above its weight.
Ulverston is known for the start of the Cumbrian Way, the world-famous Manjushri Buddhist temple, the huge annual Dickensian festival, Another Fine Fest in the summer, and the Lantern Procession plus many, many others – it’s actually referred to asthe ‘Festival town’ regionally!
