As you arrive at the Beckside House, there is ample private parking directly outside the property making for a smooth transition of bags in the house. The entrance hall is light and airy and has hanging for coats and a rack for shoes. To the left is a good-sized twin bedroom with plenty of storage. This room includes a television. The two single beds are zip and link so can be configured as a superking if preferred (please specify at the time of booking). Situated next to the second bedroom is the open living space, finished to a good standard with a modern feel.
The living area benefits from a 50” TV and gives views to the enclosed patio and garden area, with French doors so you can open the whole space up on warm summer days. There is a round, glass table for dining and the well-appointed kitchen means the cook can still be part of the conversation as dinner is prepared. The kitchen has a large fridge/freezer, electric hob and oven, microwave, air fryer and a dishwasher.
These is also a washing machine for the outdoor enthusiast who may get caught out by the weather. The property houses a large bath to soak away the day’s aches and pains, and a large drench shower. The property is completed by the large master bedroom which has plenty of space, a television and a superking bed to lull you to sleep.
The property is ideally located with the centre of Dalton-in-Furness only a 2-minute walk from the front door. Dalton offers a good range of shops and take-aways, as well as a selection of lovely pubs which offer food as well as a good selection of beers. Within 3 miles are a number of attractions, such as the Furness Abbey Dock Museum, a variety of beaches and a local leisure centre with a great pool for kids.
If you want to travel a bit further afield then within a 20-mile radius there is the World-famous Lake Windermere and Coniston, Manjushri Buddhist Temple, Lakeland Motor Museum, Go-Ape High ropes adventure, Miniature Village, Bigland Hall equestrian (Horse riding) and Lakes Aquarium to name but a few, so there is something for every family member, and of course, you are at the gateway to the whole of the Lake District National Park.

Upon arriving the driveway was very tight to enter. As we are both disabled we were horrified to find a 12 inch high step to get in the property and also exit the back door into the garden. The property was okay but it was not disabled friendly. I would recommend anyone with mobility issues seriously consider this.

Excellent house which gave us access to the southern lakes. Although the weather was not too good, it wasn't enough to stop us getting out. Interesting places to visit. The house was well equipped although I struggled with the fan oven (not used to using one). Overall excellent.

stayed in June and lots to like here so we booked another stay, did not disappoint, huge comfy bed, large TV and great secure garden for the dog, well equipped and very clean, drive is tight as others have said but just take your time or approach from the opposite side, great time exploring some new places and beaches as well as a lovely round trip to Windermere, Ambleside and back down past Hawkeshead, nearby Askham for a good beach walk and Bardsea a few miles further, great shopping outlet with M&S, Aldi etc so no need to spend time shopping and packing before you go, Dalton is an old town centre with lots of local shops, restaurants and pubs, everywhere dog friendly too, loved our 2nd stay and will book again
