"Peaceful serine tranquil cosy romantic different (first time I stayed in a castle) characterful homely. All of the above and more. Also well stocked, well equipped. The drive is around half a mile to get out of the grounds and you can walk to your hearts content within the grounds. My summary is, what a perfect find for us both."
"The cottage is in a unique location and has a beautiful surrounding. Unfortunately the heating was non exisitant and the cottage was dangerously cold. We tried to use the electric heaters and the log fire but they were inadequate for this type of property. The furnishing were lovely and the beds very comfortable. Unfortunately the shower was a little old and not very powerful and the toilet was linked to a septic tank, something I was not expecting considering how much I paid for the week.We were slightly concerned that the owners do not allow pets at the property yet allow their own dog to excrement around the property and it was not picked up during the whole of our visit. This cottage has a lot of potential but needs to be made more warm in winter months or only operate during the warmer months of the year."
"A well equipped cottage forming part of a castle. Strategic location between Aberdeen and many sights to see. Supermarket etc. nearby, kind owner, beautiful grounds surrounding the castle. We stayed for a fortnight and had a great holiday."
"Very out of the way and not well sign posted. The court yard was a bit cluttered with piles of slate and other farm bits and pieces. The bathroom window was just plain glass and looked out on to the owners garden so not private. Side door entrance which had more farm and garden stuff lying around. Not ideal for a family. The bed in the first room was not comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped though. Wouldn't rush back to this property."
